Experience the majestic and exhilarating sights of Kenya's crown jewel, the Masai Mara Game Reserve. You will be able to enjoy the amazing wildlife on this adventure. This prized safari destination is home to Africa's Big Five game, where you will chance upon millions of wildebeest, thousands of zebra and antelope, the abundance of birds, and a myriad of animals, discover Kenya with a native guide and create lifelong memories.
During the tour, you will be accommodated in Sentrim Mara Lodge, located adjacent to the Maasai Mara game reserve, three kilometers from Sekenani gate. The entire camp is spread over 100 acres of tranquil natural vegetation. The main guest area consists of the reception, lounge, restaurant, bar, fireplace, pool bar, jacuzzi, and swimming pool.
You will board the van in Nairobi and emerge into another world, a land famed for Big Five wildlife, wild bush, and centuries-old culture, the land of the Maasai, the Africa you've always dreamed of, where mountains border the open plains and tall grasses shelter stealthy predators from view. Wildlife sightings at Masai Mara are among the most diverse and spectacular the continent has to offer, and include the Big Five, African buffalo, bush elephants, black rhinos, leopards, and lions.
This spectacular reserve is also the site of the breath-taking great migration, the eighth wonder of the world. Feel the vibration of millions of wildebeest (gnu) hooves, stampeding across the open plains as these animals search for fresh water and pasture. It's the largest mass migration of land animals, anywhere in the world.
As the sun erupts over the horizon, its golden rays will be reflected off the grassy plains. As the bush awakens, the landscape springs to life, elephants lumber to the watering hole, giraffes gobble greenery from a nearby tree and young leopards roughhouse on the savannah. The Maasai word for this beauty is "Mara", a landscape dotted with stately trees, puffy clouds, and majestic wildlife.
This is the Mara you'll explore this morning as your safari van motors over the bumpy terrain in search of the next great sight. On your list, of course, are the Big Five, but keep your eyes peeled for galloping antelopes, bathing hippos, lightning-fast gazelles, and the coordinated zigzag of dancing zebras.
In the morning, you are free to do as you wish. This includes an optional balloon safari tour. After breakfast, you'll return to Nairobi and onward home.
On this safari, you will visit the Maasai Mara National Reserve to see the abundance of wildlife.
You will visit the Maasai Mara National Reserve, a large game reserve in South-West Kenya. The name is derived from Maasai people and the Mara River, which divides it into eastern and western parts. The extensive savanna grassland in between the rolling hills hosts a large variety of wild animals. Every year, about two and a half million wildebeests and hundred thousands of zebras wander through the Maasai Mara from June to October on their great migration between the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and Maasai Mara in Kenya. This spectacle has recently been declared the seven natural world wonder.
