Accommodation

In Arusha, you will stay at a budget hotel and in Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will stay at either a campsite or lodge. Accommodations are based on two persons sharing a double room or tent. Where possible, rooms with private baths are provided.

Single rooms, which are available at an additional cost, cannot be guaranteed. Hotels or lodges are named as an indication of category and rooms can be reserved at similar hotels or lodges.

Program

Day 1: Nairobi - Arusha

After breakfast at 7:30, depart for Arusha with shuttle bus, arriving at the Namanga border town at about 10:30. After immigration formalities, proceed to Arusha to arrive in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight are at a budget hotel. Dinner is on your own.

Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart to Lake Manyara with lunch en route. Proceed to Lake Manyara for a game drive at Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. Dinner and overnight are at the campsite.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, descend 2,000 feet (670 meters) into the crater floor with your picnic lunch for a full day at the park with a lunch break at Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. The main crater is 165 kilometers and contains populations of varied species, black manned lions, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants and other grazing animals. Dinner and overnight are at the campsite.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

After breakfast and your final game drive, you will leave Ngorongoro for Olduvai Gorge, for an additional fee. You will have lunch at Olduvai Gorge Museum, then you may visit various sites of the gorge to see where the remains of a prehistoric man were discovered by the famous archeologist Dr. Louis Seymour Bazett Leakey, and proceed to Arusha for overnight. Dinner is on your own.

Day 5: Arusha - Nairobi

After breakfast, you'll depart from Arusha on a shuttle bus to Nairobi. You'll Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon.
