You will spend your first and last night in a hotel in Kathmandu. At Chitwan, you will stay in an attached room with running hot and cold water. All hotels and resorts are in a buffer zone, and you will get a nice view of the national park and river from your room.


Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to the hotel. After welcome drinks, there will be a briefing about the package, followed by check-in at the hotel. Overnight will be in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park (174 kilometers and approximately a six-hour drive), the biggest national park in Nepal and a hub of tourists. Check in at the hotel. After checking in to the hotel and getting refreshed, you will be briefed about the full nature programs by a nature guide. Then you will head on to the activities.

There will be a guided village walk and a walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle. In the evening, enjoy dinner with a cultural program by ethnic tribal people showcasing their stick dance and tribal drums. Overnight will be at Chitwan.

Day 3: Full day at Chitwan National Park, including a jungle safari

Chitwan National Park has been declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Today, you will discover why the national park holds an important place in preserving the wildlife that is rapidly getting extinct from this planet. You are almost sure to spot water buffalo, egrets, woodpecker, and deer in their natural habitat.

The park is also home to rhinoceros, tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild bison, Gangetic dolphin, 500 birds, butterflies, as well as the near-extinct Gharials crocodiles. You can do a number of activities there, such as birdwatching, nature walk, jungle drive, or canoe trip. Overnight will still be at Chitwan.

Day 4: Chitwan National Park to Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight will be at a hotel.

Day 5: Departure

After breakfast, enjoy your free time. Then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.


This safari holiday will take place at Chitwan National Park in Nepal. Chitwan National Park was declared as a national park in 1973 and listed as a World Heritage Site on 1984. The park lies in the Terai region of mid-southern Nepal, with an area of 932 square kilometers. It is a well-known national park for wildlife safaris, tours, and cultural and ethnic villages.

The national park is easily accessible by road connection with Kathmandu and is rich on flora and fauna, so it is one of the most on-demand destinations for wildlife activities. The area of the national park consists 60% sal forest, and the rest are lowland Terai forest, riverine forest, and grassland.

Chitwan is situated in a river valley basin along the floodplains of the Rapti, Reu, and Narayani rivers. The park contains one-horned rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal tiger, which are the ornaments for the national park, as well as other wild animals such as leopard, wild dog, sloth bear, and gaur. Other mammals found in the area include sambar, chital, hog deer, barking deer, wild pig, monkeys, otter, porcupine, yellow-throated marten, civet, fishing cat, jungle cat, jackal, striped hyena, and Indian fox.

The national park consists different rivers and marine land where you can get aquatic species, including the Gangetic dolphin, the mugger crocodile, and the endangered gharial. The tour or safari program of Chitwan National park includes all types of experience, including cultural, natural, and adventurous destinations.
