You will be staying one night at the Arinston Seaside Cottages near Cape Agulhas and one night at the Mooi Plass Guest House, near Little Karoo.


Day 1: Great white Shark diving to Arniston

You leave Cape Town early this morning and head for the spectacular Clarence Drive on the way to Betty’s Bay where you will visit Africa’s largest penguin colony.

Next is the charming town of Hermanus known for the world’s best land based whale watching spot between the months June to December.

On arrival at Gansbay (shark capital), you have a meal and prepare for our boat trip to encounter these incredible marine creatures up close. (approx 3 hours)

The journey continues along the Southern Cape Coast with a stop in Elim, a 19th century Moravian Missionary village and find quaint white cottages with thatched roofs.

You continue to Cape Agulhas the southernmost point of the continent, where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet, and also renowned for its ancient Khoisan fish traps and cave middens.

Overnight in Cape Agulhas or Arniston for a delicious barbecue dinner.

Day 2: Big 5 Safari & Cape Agulhas

Breakfast in Cape Agulhas, where the two oceans, Atlantic and Indian meet, then continue to Botlierskop private game reserve for a 3-hour safari drive led by a trained safari guide where you encounter the Big 5.

On the way, there will be a visit to an aloe factory and the historic frontier town of Swellendam including a visit to South Africa’s oldest “magistracy”

After the safari, continue to the town of Oudtshoorn, which is the capital of the Little Karoo, renowned for its spectacular arid landscapes, fossil finds succulent desert plants and of course as the Ostrich Capital of the world as well as home to one of the world’s most spectacular cave systems.

Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

Day 3: Oudshoorn, Cango Caves and Safari Ostrich farm

After breakfast, visit the Cango Caves; said to be the most beautiful in the world where a succession of galleries, finest dripstone caverns and extraordinary limestone formations can be admired.

The Cango Caves are located in Precambrian limestone at the foothills of the Swartberg range near the town of Oudtshoorn,

A visit to the world’s oldest working Ostrich farm for a tour and an opportunity to ride on one of these strange birds.

You continue to Montagu along the famous Route 62 with picturesque villages and local handicraft.

Following the Breede River Valley wine route you will pass the towns of Robertson and Worcester.

Driving through the Huguenot tunnel, Africa’s largest, gives us an insight to the huge obstacle for the first pioneers leaving the Cape for the interior.

On to Paarl which takes its name from the granite domes of the mountain. It is situated in the Berg River Valley and founded by the French Huguenots in 1652.

Our journey ends in Cape Town.
