Day 1: Cape Wine Lands and Big Five Safari Game Reserve

You will leave Cape Town and head off to explore the Cape Wine Lands. A tour and walkabout of the historical town of Stellenbosch is a must for any visitor to the Cape. Get to visit one of the Cape's finest wine farms for a tasting and time permitting, a cellar tour.

Thereafter, you will drive through the Great Karoo, home to the Big Five extravaganza where you enjoy a buffet lunch, freshen up before your safari into the sunset. On return, your "Boma" dinner will be ready, time to warm up and feast.

Day 2 (Cape of Good Hope & Beyond)

This morning after an early morning game drive and hearty breakfast you will head to the Cape Peninsula which is a UNESCO World Heritage site for its exceptional floral diversity. We follow the west coast via Clifton with a stop at Maiden’s Cove to enjoy a magnificent view of the Twelve Apostles, Camps Bay and the charming little harbor town of Hout Bay. The scenic world famous scenic Chapman’s Peak Pass offers breathtaking scenery. Time permitting an optional visit to the Boulders beach African penguin colony.

The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve is where the cold Atlantic waters meet the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. This famous landmark was named by the early Portuguese mariners. This fun packed private tour is the most comprehensive and value for money experience on offer in Cape Town.

You'll be dropped off at the airport (or hotel). End of tour.

Horseback Safari full day tour

A Cape Town safari day trip on horseback is an alternative safari option to experiencing the natural wonders of Africa. Stalking game gets closer than ever when you're saddled-up and ready to ride. No experience is necessary for the Aquila horseback safari day tour. This day trip safari requires that you arrive at Aquila at 9 am in the morning. You can choose to drive yourself to the reserve or, hop onto one of the schedule departure transfers leaving from Cape Town hotels between 6am and 7am in the morning. (Be sure to book this transfer beforehand)

The program includes a welcome drink, a scrumptious buffet breakfast, 1 1/2 hour horse back safari led by an experienced guide who will share exciting inside stories: facts about your surroundings, easily rousing your inner wild side and lunch. You will have ample time at leisure to either add on a spa treatment, a quad bike safari .

Quad Bike Safari - Full Day

The quad bike safari day tour involves roughing it up within the 10,000 hectare conservancy of Aquila Private Game Reserve. The Aquila quad bike safari day tour is a firm favourite. Quad bikes are provided by Aquila Game Reserve, and can be included with any other Aquila safari option.
