Warm welcome to Tanzania. You will be met by a Shika Tours representative at the Killimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transferred to your hotel in Arusha, about a 45-minute drive from the airport, before waking up for an adventure of Tanzania safaris with a taste of wildlife.
After breakfast, depart from the Hotel in Arusha at 07:30 a.m. and drive to Lake Manyara. The park is blessed with its forest habitat, harboring elephants, giraffes, baboons, blue monkeys, tree climbing lions and bushbuck just to name a few. Tanzania safaris will give you knowledge of every step you make in the park. Here, you will enjoy a half day game drive before going back to your campsite or lodge in the evening.
In the morning, you will depart to the Serengeti National Park (also known as the endless plain) and arrive there in the early afternoon. En route, you will visit an authentic Maasai village where you will be welcomed into a traditional Maasai home and experience this unique culture. Thereafter you will enjoy a half day’s game drive in the Serengeti Plains, home to one of the world’s most amazing spectacles, the wildebeest migration. Spend your afternoon driving across sun-kissed savannahs and experiencing some of the best game-viewing in Africa.
Early morning after breakfast, you will spend the whole day on a game drive in the Serengeti National Park and have lunch at a picnic spot en route. Your guide will try his best to find the animals and will make sure that you can see the animals from the best spot in the park. Naturally, the migration also attracts predators and with luck you might see a kill in action.
This morning you will pack, and after breakfast you will enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Thereafter, make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you spend the night atop the crater rim or similar to that, granting you an awarding vista of the crater floor.
You will start your day early in the morning in the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful havens for wildlife in the world, with your picnic on board. You will descend into the crater floor, Africa’s Garden of Eden with abundant wildlife, a site infamously dubbed the world’s eighth wonder. You will enjoy a full day game drive there. Late in the afternoon after lunch, you will depart to Arusha. This is the end of your safari adventure.
During this safari, you will visit Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park.
Lake Manyara derived its name from Euphorbia Tirucalli plant known as Emanyara in Masai language. The park carves an area of 648.7 square kilometers blessed with its forest habitat, harboring elephants, giraffes, baboons, blue monkeys, tree climbing lions, bushbuck, and other amazing species.
Set in northern Tanzania, sharing part of the Serengeti Plain to the north west Ngorongoro covers an area of 8,292 square kilometers. Ngorongoro Crater was Subsequently awarded world Heritage site and international biosphere reserve status.
You are suggested booking your flight to arrive at Killimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Shika Tours and Safaris will pick you up from the airport. The pick-up is included in the price.
"I booked a 3-day Budget Group Safari (in tents) with Shika based on some online reviews. While we experienced a bumpy start with quite a delay - mostly due to other customers not showing up to the trip - once we were rolling, things went just fine. We ended up having a private safari after all. The drivers were well-informed and showed us some great animal spots, lots of game, the Big Five, and colorful birds. The three parks we visited - Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro - are unique places in the world and it's a privilege to see them. The nights were spent in a simple but clean, friendly and safe Tent Lodge in Mto Wa Mbu, called Fanaka, with good food. Shika is a small, young, African-owned company that competes with big, mostly American/European owned travel agencies and while honestly not everything went smooth, after all we had a great experience, got a really great value for our money, and the guys are nice and try everything to make you feel good."

"We booked the safari directly with Shika tours and everything was well organized. They offer a great value for money. We had whole Land Cruiser to ourselves and got the best guide (David) and cook (Damian) we could imagine. David did an awesome job during the game drives and he could tell us a lot about the animals. After the game drives, we were looking forward to dinner which was always very delicious. We started with Tarangire national park followed by Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara and we would do it again in the same order next time."

"Wow, what a fantastic time in Tanzania! Our tour guide from Shika Tours was just wonderful. He knew his country well, gave us much information, and kept us laughing all the time. The days were action packed and very interesting. Our group was excellent, everyone got along and there were no personality conflicts that I was aware of. The weather was hotter than normal, but we were able to keep up with the pace."
