Program
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK). Meet your guide and transfer to your Four Points Hotel by Sheraton. Depending on arrival time, visit the Cultural Heritage Centre in Arusha to learn about Tanzania's diverse cultures and pick up any last-minute supplies for your safari. At the evening, enjoy a leisurely dinner at your hotel and relax before your safari adventure begins the next day.
Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
Depart from Arusha after breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Embark on a game drive through the park and keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and birdlife, including flamingos. In the afternoon, enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. Continue your game drive in the afternoon, exploring different areas of the park.
In the late evening, exit the park and drive to Karatu for an overnight stay. Check in at Marera Valley Lodge (full board). Enjoy dinner and relax as you prepare for the next day's adventure.
Day 3: Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's most iconic safari destinations. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and hippos.
Enjoy a game drive in search of the "Big Five" and other species. In the afternoon, stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater, surrounded by breathtaking views of the wildlife and landscape.
In the evening, ascend from the crater and drive to Marera Valley Lodge (full board). Enjoy dinner and relax by the fireplace, recounting the day's safari experiences.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater - Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart from Ngorongoro and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees and embark on a game drive through the park. Spot elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and other wildlife against the backdrop of ancient baobab trees.
In the afternoon, enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue your game drive, exploring different habitats and searching for predators such as lions and leopards.
In the evening, exit the park and drive back to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening, where you can transfer to the airport for your onward journey or spend the night before departing the next day.
