Tour through flooded jungles, row and cross the impressive Amazon River, including the Javari River (Brazil), and go through the spectacular flooded jungles of Peru. Trek in the primary jungle, enjoy the real contact with nature, be away from the noise of urban places, advance with the silence of nature. Row under the rain and the sun. During the tour, you will spend the night in the jungle. You will sleep in a hammock with a mosquito net or a rustic room with a bed and mosquito net.


Day 1: Pichuna camping

Reception at the airport; transfer to the agency, luggage check, payment arrangements. Lunch in Leticia. Transfer to kilometer 14, then start trekking for three to four hours through secondary and primary jungles. Medicinal plants identification.

Camping establishment (hammocks with mosquito net), recognition and exploration of the area with no luggage, fauna and flora observation. Dinner is prepared in the jungle, then enjoy nocturnal activity: tales of jungle, nocturnal walk. Rest in hammocks with mosquito net.

Day 2: Amazon River

Breakfast is prepared in the jungle. Afterward, meeting with the kayaks and start the kayak trip, crossing the Pichuna stream to the mouth of the Amazon, rowing and crossing the width of the great river. Start on the Colombian sides until reaching the other extreme in Peru.

Start descent down the Amazon river downstream. Arrival at the entrance of the flooded forest of Gamboa. Lunch in reserve. Rest and bath in the stream, then start trekking through the flooded forest in search of animals such as tarantulas, monkeys, snakes, insects, different types of animals. Dinner in the reserve. Rest in beds with mosquito net.

Day 3: Flooded jungle

After breakfast, begin the tour through the flooded forest in search of animals, flora and fauna observation, until reaching Zacambú Lakes. Lunch at Jorge’s family house. Go kayaking until Zacambú Lakes. After dinner, night navigation in search for alligators. Rest in a simple rustic room with a bed and mosquito net. Night walk through the flooded forests (optional).

Day 4: Javari River

This morning, enjoy your breakfast. Then, explore the lakes until you reach Javari River, searching for pink and gray dolphins. After lunch, take part in the camp organization on the flooded jungle (optional), dinner, and rest. You will spend the night in hammocks with a mosquito net or beds with mosquito net.

Day 5: Zacambú - Gamboa - Leticia

After breakfast, start the kayak travel to Gamboa’s community, then enjoy lunch. Kayaking to the mouth of the Amazon River. Return to Leticia through Gamboa or Javari River, transfer to the airport.


Starting in Leticia, the tour will take you to Amazon River area, Gamboa, Zakambu Lakes, Javari River area, and back to Leticia.
