You will arrive in Livingstone and then spend an afternoon of sundowners on the Zambezi River banks, long enough to get you into the golden sunset, relax, and swing you into the holiday mood.

Day 2: Zambezi River

Depending on the season, the pick up time starts at 6:00 or 6:30 for your ultimate walking in nature experience. After a break for lunch, a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi River will complete your day.

Day 3: Victoria Falls National Park

Start the day with a tour of Victoria Falls, then take a break for lunch. Experience the African bush and look for game and birdlife on this three-hour tour to Musi-oa-Tunya National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the Zambia side of Victoria Falls. The Victoria Falls National Park (Mosi-Oa-Tunya Park) offers a rare and intimate opportunity to explore and learn about the African bush, its game, and its birdlife.

The experienced and knowledgeable local guides will show you some of the animals which include giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, primates, antelopes, elephants, white rhinos, to mention but a few, as well as the bush’s fantastic flora like teaks, mahoganies, and the mopane and marula trees which are a real delicacy for elephants. You will, of course, visit the Victoria Falls located in the same park.

After that, a visit to the local community according to your interest,(visit orphanage and community projects). Get to play and laugh with the children. Savannah Southern Safaris supports the community through community-based projects and orphanages. They are their direct partners in conducting the tours. Every day, Savannah Southern Safaris is being asked to donate to causes focusing on social issues. Take the chance to see for yourself, get a first-hand experience, and learn what can be done.

Day 4: Chobe National Park, Botswana

Cross the Zambezi River and visit neighboring Botswana in order to see Chobe National Park. Your morning to sunset excursion will include transfers, breakfast, a river cruise, lunch, and a game drive. Experience two three-hour activities in Chobe National Park. Get the best of both worlds in specially adapted, open 4x4 vehicles and by boat. Guests are picked up from the border at 8:30 and taken to their first activity.

The day starts with a river cruise into the park, with an opportunity to see water birds, the ever present crocodiles, and lurking hippos. Chobe is known for the herds of large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink, most notably buffaloes and elephants. On the islands, pukus and lechwes are often seen and on the banks kudus, impalas, and water bucks are common.

Day 5

  • Enjoy an art and artisan tour and a town tour!

Note: Please consider the fact that water levels and the landscape are changing between the dry and rainy season. Please send an inquiry to Savannah Southern Safaris for seasonal advice.
