Lake Nakuru boasts beautiful scenery with bird paradise e.g. flamingos, pelicans, marabou storks, kingfishers, etc. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to over 300 wildlife species including both black and white rhinoceroses, herds of buffaloes, white-legged giraffes, zebras, antelopes, predators like lions, leopards, hyenas, etc. Here, you can also enjoy the Baboon cliff panoramic view and Makalia waterfalls. This safari is ideal for visitors with a short stay in Kenya.
Constructed on a high elevation, the common area offers a very good view of the park and lake. Wildlife frequently comes to drink water at the water hole in front of the common area. Guest rooms are very eloquent, you can expect impeccable service. Jeans and T-shirts are restricted in the dining only at dinner time.
On arrival in Nairobi at Jomo Kenyata International Airport (NBO;JKIA), after customs and immigration formality, you will be met by Savannah Adventures' meet & greet team. After a warm welcome, quick introduction to your driver/guide, and a short briefing on do’s and don’ts, you will be transferred to Lake Nakuru Nationl Park.
Enjoy the beautiful highlight on the way, if sky will be clear you will stop shortly at the Great Rift Valley to view the beautiful scenery, take pictures, then proceed. Early in the afternoon, you will arrive for check in at a standard room in Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, lunch will be served there.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy free time of leisure or enjoy complimentary usage of facilities offered by lodge e.g. swimming pool, high speed Wi-Fi, etc. In the late afternoon, you will experience a guided game viewing with a visit to the lake's shore to view flamingoes. Early in the evening, you will return to the lodge. Dinner will be served there.
Overnight will be spent at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge / Punda Milia Campsite on full board ‘meal plan’.
Wake up very early morning and you will be served coffee / tea and some tit bits. Thereafter you will experience a guided bird watching safari, full breakfast with assorted alcoholic drinks, fresh fruit juices, etc. while on board of a boat. Afterwards, you will return to Jetty, board safari, and continue experiencing a guided game drive.
Return to the lodge early in the afternoon for lunch and free time of leisure, etc. Late in the afternoon, experience a guided game viewing in Lake Nakuru National Park. Return to lodge early in the evening for dinner.
Overnight will be spent at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge / Punda Milia Campsite on full board ‘meal plan’.
Morning wake up, you will have breakfast, check out, be transferred to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International airport (NBO JKIA) to board home bound flight.

In 1989, Siraj qualified from Kenya Utali College, the highest tourism learning institution in East and Central Africa. He holds a degree in Tourism Management and Guiding. Siraj has worked for Pollman's Tour and Safaris for seven years. In 1997, he left and joined Somak Travel in search of a greener pasture. He worked there for seven years, then, he was offered better terms by Savannah Adventures. Lake Nakuru National Park’s physical features consist of Lake Nakuru, a salty water lake, and others are its feeders Makalia River, Nderitu River, and Lanet River. On the south, it borders Mau escapements on the southwest and Lanet Hill on the east-west. Some of the attractions in the area are Makalia Falls and Baboon Cliff.
Its vegetation consists of yellow-barked acacia forest, savannah grassland, etc. It is home to black and white rhinos also considered as the breeding ground for rhinos, big pride of tree-climbing lions, leopards, and other predators, antelopes like defesa waterbuck, bushbuck, bird life like white and pink flamingos, pelicans, reptiles such as pythons.
