Witness the marvelous chimpanzees in its diverse and dense natural habitat! This 3-days Uganda safari will take you to Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee tracking as the main attraction. Other activities such as bird watching, a nature walk through the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, a visit to a community in the area, or a visit to one of the crater lakes will also make this safari more memorable.

On this safari, you will stay at Ruwenzori Travellers Inn / Kibale Forest Camp / Chimpanzee Forest Guesthouse.
After having breakfast, you will depart Kampala and head westwards to Fort Portal. The drive will take about 4 -5 hours. You will have lunch in Fort Portal and continue to Kibale National Park where you will go for either a community walk or visit the beautiful crater lakes region for a spectacular view. You will have dinner and stay overnight at your reserved lodge.
After having breakfast, you will report at the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre at 08:00 for a briefing before tracking the chimpanzees. The forest is only accessible on foot and the walk will provide you with the opportunity to also see a variety of other primates and animals, birds, a variety of butterflies, and other insects.
In the afternoon, you will return to the lodge to have lunch and go for a nature walk in Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary to see a variety of birds and monkey species. You will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.
You will have the option to either visit the Karambi Tombs (burial sites for the former Toro kings and other royals) or visit the Tooro Palace for a cultural experience. You will have lunch in Fort Portal and set off for Kampala to arrive in the evening. On the last day, accommodation and meal will not be provided.
During the safari, you will also get a chance to enjoy "equator experience".
This safari will take place in Kibale National Park. Kibale National Park hosts at least 1,500 chimpanzees out of the 4,950 found in Uganda, making this the largest concentration of chimps in Africa. The park is also home to 10 other primates including diurnal species like the red colobus monkey, blue monkey, red-tailed monkey, gray checked mangabeys, and vervet monkey, as well as many other animals.
During the safari, 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, and 2 dinners will be provided for you. Bottled drinking water will also be provided for you.
