This seven-day wildlife safari takes you to the wide plains and savanna of the Rift Valley, home of lions and other predators. This has been combined with a selection of semi-luxury lodges and tented camps where you shall experience delivery of first-class guest experience. You will visit Amboseli, a jewel at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Maasai Mara where the spectacular wildebeest migration happens, and two of the freshwater lakes in the Great Rift Valley, Lake Naivasha, and Lake Nakuru.
During this safari trip, you will be staying in various accommodations in a private room or a private double room. You will have the choice to choose either mid-range accommodations or luxurious accommodations.
Set on 200 acres of private land and with a rustic charm all of its own, the lodge nestles in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at almost six thousand meters, is Africa’s highest and most famous snow-capped mountain.
Amboseli Sopa Lodge is set within mature wooded gardens with a wide variety of trees and plants which include thorn trees, Acacias, fragrant Frangipanis, colorful bougainvillea, and giant cacti which all thrive in these surroundings. The gardens are also home to numerous species of birds, as well as monkeys, mongooses, squirrels, duikers, the occasional gazelle and, once in a while, even an ever inquisitive leopard.
Rustic, well spaced cottages meander through the vast expanse of the mature gardens and house the eighty three guest rooms. These are all brightly decorated with Maasai themed wall murals, and each room has been purposely built to contain either one or two queen sized beds, as well as a veranda.
Set in one hundred and fifty acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to the resident giraffes, waterbucks, and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys. It is also a night stop for the hippos when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on the expansive lawns. With Sopa’s traditional and conscientious care for the environment, all the buildings have been carefully positioned on the property no trees were cut.
As a result of this, the lodge had to come up with a radically innovative and artistic design for the main public area building which now snakes its way between the trees with long and graceful curves. For this reason, the two swimming pools with a children’s section and a pool complex with its bar, snack kitchen, pizzeria, health spa, tennis court, two conference halls with their four differently sized meeting areas, and stables are so widely set apart.
Other facilities in the lodge include sundowners, a gift shop, board games, outdoor dining, free Wi-Fi, sauna, and wheelchair accessible rooms. Rooms include bedroom kettles, hairdryers, telephones, and a television. The lodge also has adjoining rooms, babysitting services, laundry, and turndown service. Other activities you may want to indulge in at the lodge are fishing, horseriding, birdwatching, and nature walks.
Located on a range of hills that form the western limits of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, the lodge offers spectacular views over the vastness of Africa.
The lodge also overlooks Lake Nakuru and its surrounding national park, one that is a paradise for bird watchers and wildlife lovers alike. Lake Nakuru National Park is mainly a wooded and bushy grassland with a wide ecological diversity and characteristic habitats that range from the lake waters to the escarpment and ridges. The lodge has 60 rooms, including two inter-connecting rooms and two wheelchair accessible rooms.
The rolling plains around the camp teem with wildebeest, gazelles, and zebras during the migration months, and the camp is situated right in the center of their migration path. By virtue of its location and layout, the camp offers an unparalleled plethora of activities and experiences from luxury tented living to bird-watching, mini golf, sport fishing, and a unique insight into the Maasai culture at the adjoining Maasai village.
Enashipai – A Maasai word meaning “A Place of Happiness!” Located within the splendor of the Great Rift Valley and by the shores of Lake Naivasha, Enashipai Resort and Spa is a multi award-winning leisure and conference destination offering authentic African hospitality focused on wellness.
