You will stay for 8 nights in the hotels or guest houses (3 star - 4 star). Single supplement is available for 285 EUR.

Program

Day 1: Windhoek

Arriving in Namibian capital, Windhoek. You’ll go on a walking tour of the historic city center with its distinctive influence of German architecture. In the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in the guesthouse in Windhoek.

Day 2: Windhoek - Namib-Naukluft National Park - Sesriem (350 kilometers)

In the morning, transfer to the Namib-Naukluft National Park - the oldest desert in the world, housing about 200 species of animals. You will walk to the Sesriem canyon, sculpted for centuries by the Tsauchab River. Travelers can go down the stairs carved in the rocks and, at the bottom, admire the strange forms of the walls of the gorge. Overnight in a lodge near Sesriem.

Day 3: Sossusvlei Walvis Bay (350 kilometers)

You will depart at sunrise to the “orange dunes” of Sossusvlei, watching the sun rising over the highest dunes in the world, reaching more than 300 meters high. You’ll climb the dune from which you observe an unusual play of light on the edges of the sand hills. In the afternoon, you’ll drive through the oldest desert in the world, Naukluft, and admire charming gorge of Kuiseb River.

In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Walvis Bay, Namibia’s main port. You’ll watch huge flocks of flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds in the bay. Drive to Swakopmund - a coastal town that is a veritable oasis for any traveler after a long desert journey. You’ll travel through a wonderful sheltered promenade decorated with palm trees and flowers into the city and drive the main streets with its interesting German-influenced architecture. Overnight in Swakopmund.

Day 4: Swakopmund - Moon Desert - Welwitschias (240 kilometers)

You’ll enjoy a day trip around Swakopmund to see unusual lunar desert landscapes and endemic, oldest, nearly one thousand years old plants: Welwitschia mirabilis. In the afternoon, return to Swakopmund and visit at the sports center in the dunes, where one can slide on the sand board, do a quad biking, or flying on hang-gliders. Dinner and overnight in Swakopmund.

Day 5: Swakopmund - Skeleton Coast - Khorixas (420 kilometers)

Early in the morning, you’ll leave for the journey through the Skeleton Coast National Park. You’ll move towards the north through the vast and isolated coast, where you’ll enjoy magnificent views of the dunes, the ocean, and shipwrecks. Such landscapes will bring you to the Cape Cross - a multi-thousand colony of seals.

Then, you’ll return to the area covered by savannah and mountains, until you get to the Brandberg Mountain - a spectacular collection of prehistoric rock paintings made by bushmen four thousand years ago. Overnight in Khorixas.

Day 6: Petrified Forest - Twyfelfontein - Palmwag - Sesfontein (470 kilometers)

You’ll have a visit to the Petrified Forest, concealing the mystery in the form of huge, spanning up to 30 meters petrified trees, which, according to researchers were moved there by the enormous flood about 200 million years ago. Fossils retain their perfect shape and details until today.

Afterward, there will be a visit to Twyfelfontein, yet another largest concentration of bushman’s rock engravings. After that, you’ll have lunch (not included) in an oasis: Palmwag. Later, you’ll pass through a very picturesque area in the direction of the old German fort, Sesfontein.

Thereafter, you’ll set out for the most interesting section of the road leading through the Damaraland which is inhabited by famous tribes; Herero and Himba. You’ll stop in the villages to photograph women and children with unique hairstyles and bodies covered with red dust. Dinner and overnight in Opuwo.

Day 7: Opuwo - Oshakati - Etosha National Park (420kilometers)

Early in the morning, you’ll leave the Himba’s areas and go towards Oshakati. From there, you’ll go to the Etosha National Park: exceptional, combining the dense bush with large open areas of the bottom of the salt lake.

The center of the park is the Etosha pan (salt lake) - shallow depression about 4500 square kilometers, which is dry for most of the year, and filled with water to a depth of 1 m only during heavy rains. Plain attracts many animals and birds due to the richness in mineral salts and water. Afternoon game and watch the animals at the waterhole in the camp. Overnight in the lodge outside of the reserve.

Day 8: Etosha National Park

You’ll have a full-day safari in the reserve, where you’ll admire the unique and dramatic scenery (deep blue sky and white sands of the desert) in addition to countless herds of zebras, springboks, giraffes, wildebeest and elephants.

The reserve of an area of 22,000 kilometers square has 144 species of mammals, over 340 species of birds, and 110 species of reptiles. Watching the daily migrations of herds of animals on the open spaces of Etosha in search of water is an unforgettable experience. Dinner and overnight in the lodge near Etosha National Park.

Day 9: Etosha National Park - Tsumeb - Windhoek (550 kilometers)

In the early morning, you’ll return through Tsumeb to Windhoek. In the evening, you will be transferred to the airport.
