Miti Mingi Eco Camp

The camp is situated within the Masai Mara eco-system and on the banks of Ololaimutia River which is a watering point for most of the wild animals, especially elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, etc. This small and exclusive campsite comprises 25 tents.

The tents are furnished with all the amenities required by the modern traveler. Decorated in calming safari tones, natural woods, wrought iron, and crisp cotton, each tent has been meticulously planned to maximize comfort. All tents have four-poster beds and mosquito nets, en-suite with shower, WC, and flush toilets, hot and cold running water, and electricity with a voltage of 240 volts.

Rhino Lodge

Ideally located on the edge of the Ngorongoro crater rim, Rhino Lodge offers a perfect base from which to explore the Ngorongoro Crater and its surroundings. After 21.00 the generator is switched off and a limited amount of electricity is available from our storage batteries for lighting. After dark please be careful and never walk around the grounds unless you are accompanied by a member of our staff. One of our Askaris (watchmen) will accompany you to and from the dining room. They are also on duty throughout the night should you require assistance.

Program

Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara

Pick up from the airport, come and finalize the payment, meet with the group, and depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, via the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch. On arrival proceed for a game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver/guide. Dinner and overnight at the camp - fixed with bed and bedding.

Day 2: Masai Mara

After breakfast, proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close-range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. Optional activities to visit the Masai village at an extra cost, Dinner and overnight at the camp fixed with bed and bedding.

Day 3: Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Lake Naivasha with lunch en-route arriving late afternoon with an optional boat ride at an extra cost. Or visit the Crescent Island, dinner, and overnight at the budget hotel.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha Hell’s Gate - Lake Nakuru

Breakfast tour at the Hell’s Gate National Park, the park has attractions like the Olkaria and Hobley’s, two extinct volcanoes, and the obsidian forms from the cool molten lava. Within Hell’s Gate is the Hell’s Gate Gorge, lined with red a cliff that contains two volcanic plugs, Fisher's Tower and Central Tower which is a smaller gorge that extends to the south and of which a path descends into hot springs. Proceed on to see the equator line and afterwards proceed to Lake Nakuru arriving in the evening drop at the hotel for dinner and overnight at a budget hotel.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Amboseli

After breakfast, proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific bird life including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Drive to Amboseli National Park. Dinner and overnight at the camp with bed and bedding.

Day 6: Amboseli

A day of game drives in this park which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. Day 7: Amboseli - Arusha

After breakfasts proceed for your final game drive in Amboseli National Park if weather permits you will see the view of Mount Kilimanjaro, later depart Amboseli to Arusha through the Namanga border for immigration formalities, aboard the shuttle bus to Arusha town arriving in the afternoon, the manager will pick you from the bus stop and drop you at the hotel booked on bed and breakfast.

Day 8: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at hotel in Arusha, proceed to Tarangire for a full day game drive. But the most important feature of this Park, the game in the necklace, is the Tarangire River. Dinner and overnight at Campsite.

Day 9: Tarangire - Lake Manyara National Park

Day 10: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park

Day 11: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
