Enjoy some of South Africa’s finest wildlife spots at the Pilanesberg National Park, which is one of the largest nature reserves in South Africa and home to a large variety of wild animals including the Big Five.

During this safari, you will stay in a private tent. You will stay at one of the Golden Leopard camp sites. We provide all the camping gear including camping mattresses and sleeping bags. The camp sites are situated on the rich grounds of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. A Pilanesberg safari promises to be memorable experience. Facilities at the resort include a swimming pool, on site restaurant, bar and small shop.


During this safari experience, you will experience about 200 kilometers of road network that will give you the opportunity to explore the park and to spot many animals. Apart from the Big Five, you are also likely to encounter zebra, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, hippo, crocodile, jackal, wild cat, warthog, and various antelope and general game.

The park is also home to more 300 bird species and bird viewing is always a memorable experience. During the game drives, you will also stop at a number of hides, viewing spots, and waterholes.

Day 1: Johannesburg - Pilanesberg National Park

On your first day, you will be picked up in Johannesburg early morning. You will then start your trip to Pilanesberg National Park with a comfort stop at Hartbeespoort dam for some refreshments and a bathroom break.

You will arrive at the Pilanesberg National Park around 9:00 a.m. Upon arrival, you will experience a 3 hour morning game drive in a closed air-conditioned vehicle. After your game drive you can enjoy lunch and some free time. Later in the early evening your guide will prepare a braai (barbecue) dinner .

Day 2: Pilanesberg National Park

After a delicious morning breakfast, you will experience another closed vehicle game drive. After some free time to enjoy your lunch, you will experience an exciting afternoon game drive in an open land cruiser followed by an evening dinner prepared by your guide.

Day 3: Pilanesberg National Park - Johannesburg

After the morning breakfast, you will enjoy a closed game drive followed by a visit to the Pilanesberg Center. After lunch you go on one last game drive before heading back to Johannesburg. Time permitting, the guide will stop at the Chameleon Village flea market before your drop off in Johannesburg.

This safari adventure will take place at the Pilanesberg National Park in the Bojanala Region, South Africa. Pilanesberg National Park is one of the largest nature reserves in South Africa and covers an area of about 55,000 hectares. The park is situated in the Bojanala Region of the North West Province and is home to a large variety of wild animals including the Big Five; lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, and buffalo.

Pilanesberg National Park nestles in a crater that resulted from a volcanic eruption millions of years ago. As a result, it offers a rich landscape with amazing topographies that include a mixture of rocky hills, forested gorges, bush veld, rolling open grasslands, wooded areas, and waterholes and dams.

Located only two hours drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria, the Pilanesberg National Park is the home of thousands of types of wild animals and bird species that live and roam in an spectacular landscape.

The park is the fourth largest game park in South Africa and with a road network of over 200 kilometers, the park enables visitors to enjoy long game drives and fascinating wildlife viewing.
