This tour takes you around the northern circuit parks and extends to the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro for some exciting and fun excursions. On this tour, you get to visit the endless plains of the Serengeti, see and descend the Ngorongoro crater and not to miss Tarangire the home of elephants before finalizing with a hike to the materuni waterfalls and some fun-filled local coffee making farm trip. You will spend one night at fig big tree lodge. Situated on the outskirts of the vibrant village of Mto Wa Mbu, you will experience Hospitality in a quiet, natural environment. The lodge also includes an outdoor pool. Guests can enjoy a drink at the on-site bar. There are lots of activities in the area, such as biking, canoeing, and hiking. Hippo Pool is 4 miles from Manyara fig big tree Lodge and Campsite.
Seronera Campsite is one of the most famous campsites in Tanzania for animal encounters. Animals will pass through the campsite at night on their nocturnal wanderings. This campsite is guarded. Tents have mats, and bathrooms are outside the tent.
Ngorongoro Simba is a huge public campsite situated on the southwestern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater Rim, about two kilometers from the crater village. The campsite has regularly attended and well-maintained toilets, hot-water showers heated by wood fires, and firewood for sale. Wild animals from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park frequently visit the campsite which is not fenced, so you should move with caution.
Clients get complimentary accommodation at Arusha Tourist Inn Budget Hotel before and after safari, clients can upgrade to Tulia Spa Hotel for additional 60 USD (per double room), however clients can arrange & handle their own accommodation prior and after safari.
Safari Soles Tours representative will pick you up from the airport as you proceed to Tulia spa & boutique hotel in Arusha you will get a chance to view Mount Kilimanjaro & lake Duluti, later on, will brief you on the tour.
You will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00 a.m. and after being familiar with the guide, chef, and other clients, the group will drive to Tarangire national park (two hours' drive) famous for its diverse landscape. The park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees and having the largest concentration of elephants in the whole country and provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families.
You will do a game drive through the park depending on where they are reported sightings of animals (mostly predators, lions, cheetah, and leopards as they are harder to spot) as herbivores (giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, etc.) are plenty to see through the park.
Later on, will go to the Tarangire River picnic site and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and animals while having lunch, small monkeys and baboons will try to scare you off your lunch but there is nothing to worry about.
After lunch, you will proceed with the game drive and exit the park around 4:30 p.m. where you will head to accommodation(campsite) for dinner and sleep.
After breakfast (8:30 a.m.), you will drive from Mto Wa Mbu to Serengeti which takes six hours (includes all stops) as it transits through the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will briefly stop at the Ngorongoro Crater gate and viewpoint to look at the breathtaking view of the crater. Duration: 20 minutes.
There is an optional to visit Maasai Village to explore the culture of the great Maasai tribe known for chasing lions of their kill and hunting lions to be considered a warrior, drinking raw animal blood though these traditions are thing of the past with exception of drinking blood you can surely learn something. Duration: 20 - 45 minutes. This is an optional visit, not included in the price and many clients opt against it. The entrance is 10 - 20 USD.
Arrive in the late afternoon and do a game drive in Seronera (center of Serengeti) to late evening and experience the sunset in Serengeti while having a close view of wild animals lucky enough to see a predator hunting or on a kill, later heading to Seronera campsite. You can still view animals from camp mostly hyenas and there is close protection from active rangers so no worries.
After an early breakfast (6:30 a.m.), the group will go on an early game drive seeing a lot of animals till afternoon where you will head to camp for lunch and packing doing a game drive while you exit the Serengeti heading to Simba campsite (two hours' drive) near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Animals can be spotted on campsites.
After an early breakfast, you will descend the crater (6:15 a.m.) on a journey to find the black rhino, rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater as most animals will be easier to spot from this park due to it being a floor crater. After lunch, you will do another game drive and ascend (around 12:45 p.m.) the crater to camp and pack for the trip back to Arusha town to Tulia spa & boutique
After breakfast, you will be picked up & drive to the Materuni waterfalls, where you will do a 45 minutes hike to the waterfalls & 20 minutes hike back from the waterfalls afterward you will join a local tribe in the coffee-making process, get to learn & processes your own cup of coffee before being driven to the airport for you flight

Tarangire National Park is a national park in Tanzania‘s Manyara Region. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The Tarangire River is the primary source of freshwater for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season. The Tarangire ecosystem is defined by the long-distance migration of wildebeest and zebras. During the dry season, thousands of animals concentrate in Tarangire National Park from the surrounding wet-season dispersal and calving areas.
The park covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers (1,100 square miles). The landscape is composed of granitic ridges, river valley, and swamps. Vegetation is a mix of Acacia woodland, Combretum woodland, seasonally flooded grassland, and baobab trees.
Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania is the largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera in the world formed about 2 to 3 million years ago. Its enormous scenery and abundance of wildlife merge to make it a wonder of the natural world. The collapsed volcano which left high walls of about 600 meters that somehow challenging your ability of vision as you gaze on to it. Geographically what has always been called Ngorongoro Crater mistakenly, it is rather the largest volcanic caldera in the world, with a floor of about 300 square kilometers (100 square miles).
The name Serengeti was derived from the Maasai word ‘Siringet’ by the Maasai nomadic people’s language (maa) which means the endless plains. The word itself is enough explanation of the legendary African savannah plains. Serengeti National Park was established during the fortress conservation times where two big tribes of Maasai and Kuria were moved out of the Serengeti. Kuria people were forced to go to the areas around Lake Victoria while Maasai was moved towards the southern Serengeti and Ngorongoro, later in 1951 Serengeti was then announced as a national park.
Serengeti National park is Tanzania’s oldest park covering an area of about 14,763 sq km of endless rolling plains, which spread up to the Kenyan border and extends almost to Lake Victoria. The park is flourishing with magnificent wildlife and it is no doubt that it is the most famous wildlife area in Africa. UNESCO has established two World heritage sites and two Biosphere Reserve in this area. Its unique environment has inspired writers, filmmakers as well as numerous photographers and scientists.
Serengeti is the place where the world-renowned Great Wildebeest Migration during the months of November up to the Middle of August. The movement of the mass wild animals back and forth from Serengeti to Masai Mara in Kenya is an amazing natural phenomenon involving more than one million and a half wildebeests accompanied by hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles walking thousands of miles in searching of green pastures and water. Serengeti National Park Wildebeests Migration seems to have outshined the richness of resident animals and birdlife that flourish in the Serengeti yearly around but the truth is that the park is always a wonderful place with or without the existence of the migration herds.
