Your safari closes with Kenya's flagship national reserve: the Masai Mara, a scene of the dramatic Wildebeest Migration and a rewarding and exciting safari destination at any time of year. Hot-air balloon trips are an entirely outstanding way of seeing the savannah plains teeming with wildlife.
All road transport is in a private vehicle, just for your group. This safari is fully escorted by friendly, professional safari driver guides (accredited by Kenya Professional Safari Guide Association). Tour transport is in a private six-seater safari minivan with a pop-up roof or six-seater Toyota Land Cruisers (4x4).
Today, the team will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your city hotel for overnight. Depending on your arrival time, the team will be able to schedule an optional city tour. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
In the early morning after breakfast, you will enjoy a visit to the Nairobi National Park for wildlife and bird watching. This is one of Royal Private Safaris' most interesting wildlife viewing destinations and only covers an area large enough for a perfect short trip.
Next, you will visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. At the orphanage, you will learn about the orphaned elephants and how they got to the center. You will also learn elephant biology and the threats facing the species. The local education team will also teach about how the orphans are cared for until rehabilitation. Further, you will learn how you can adopt a baby elephant if you are interested in adopting. From here, you will proceed to a local restaurant, where you will enjoy a scrumptious lunch; sampling local dishes and barbecues.
After lunch, you head to the Giraffe Center. This only takes a short drive. At the center, you will meet the lovely Rothschild’s Giraffes. You will learn about the breeding program at the center and also about giraffe Biology. You will also get an opportunity to feed the giraffes from your hand, hug, and even kiss these lovely “Tall Blondes”.
Rise early to enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel. Depart by road to Amboseli National Park. There you will experience your first game drive en route to your lodge. Lunch is served at the lodge, before departing for an afternoon 'spice' game drive. Return to the camp and enjoy a scrumptious dinner.
This morning, you rise early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit and set off for a game drive. Midday finds you at your lodge for lunch and afternoon rest, followed by another game drive. Dinner and overnight at your camp.
Enjoy an early breakfast, check out of the camp, and proceed to the nearby Amboseli Airstrip for your flight to Masai Mara. This flight takes approximately 45 minutes, arriving in the mid-morning, checking into your luxury camp, and enjoying the luxury of the camp until lunchtime. After lunch, you proceed to the afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at your luxury camp.
You spend the next two days in the Masai Mara - one of the greatest wildernesses of the world in the morning and afternoon game drives.
After breakfast, drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, enjoy a game drive along Lake Nakuru National Park on the lakeshore to see water birds where there is also an excellent chance of seeing rhinos as well as over 400 other species of birds. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Today, you have an early morning game drive followed by a sumptuous breakfast then depart by road to Nairobi arriving in the early afternoon.

Nairobi National Park is one of the most interesting wildlife viewing destinations and only covers an area large enough for a perfect short trip. The park hosts many mammals, including African lions, Maasai giraffes, common elands, common zebras, Nile hippos, black rhinos, white rhinos, and Cape buffaloes. The park is also a birding haven with many beautiful species.
In fact, over 500 bird species are recorded in the park. The local Nile crocodiles are also a very welcome sight. This is Kenya’s oldest national park, located just seven kilometers from the edge of Nairobi city center. Nairobi National Park is only 117.21 square kilometers in size allowing you to sample it very well on a short safari.
Amboseli National Park is close to the Tanzanian border flanked by Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is a compact game park, abundant in wildlife, which makes for some excellent game viewing. Amboseli National Park hosts some of Kenya's largest elephant herds and is famous for its big elephant bulls with their impressive tusks. The park also contains huge populations of buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, and various antelope species, such as impala. Amboseli National Park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, and many other species of plains game.
The park also boasts an abundance of birds, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, pelicans, African fish eagles, and falcons. Amboseli National Park is famous for its views of Mount Kilimanjaro and a good number of elephants. The park shelters more than 420 species of birds and has an enormous elephant population and other big games attracted to the area by underground springs fed from the melting snows of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from wildebeest and giraffes to baboons.
This enormous reserve is famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five - lion, elephant, rhino, Cape buffalo, and leopard. Masai Mara is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world in the morning and afternoon game drives. Large mammals are varied, abundant, and easy to see. Residents among the Park's Mammals are; the Masai giraffe, eland, topi, and thousands of plain games including impala, zebra, and both Thomson and Grant's gazelles.
Masai Mara National Reserve also known as Masai Mara or the Mara is situated within the Great Rift Valley in the southern part of Kenya. Masai Mara is the best place to see the “Big Five” animals (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo) together. The famous wildebeest migration also takes place at the Mara.
Other animals include zebras, antelope, gnus, Oribis, hyenas, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hippos, crocodiles, and others. The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. Birdlife is as plentiful as wildlife at the Masai Mara, which boasts over 400 different bird species.

Lake Nakuru National Park is known as an important wildlife sanctuary for some of Africa's endangered species, especially black and white rhinos, and Rothschild's giraffes. The game reserve is also home to lions, waterbuck, buffalo, and baboons. Lake Nakuru National Park is an excellent chance of seeing rhinos as well as over 400 other species of birds.
In addition, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhinos, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon, and many species of plains game. Lake Nakuru National Park has the largest rhinoceros concentrations and predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards in Kenya. It is renowned as a bird sanctuary with over 400 bird species.
It is an excellent park for wildlife spotting and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks. The park also offers sanctuary to huge numbers of native African animals including waterbucks, warthogs, impalas, buffalo, Rothschild giraffes, elands, endangered black rhinos, white rhinos, and, occasionally, leopards. A large herd of hippos has a territory in the northern part of the lake, making for interesting game viewing.
