Accommodation

Panafric Hotel

Panafric Hotel is located idyllically 5 minutes from Nairobi CBD and only 18 kilometers from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Naro Moru River Lodge

A rustic and enchanting mountain lodge at the foothills of Mount Kenya. Located 16 km south of the Equator, in a 71-acres stream-fed enclave of peace and serenity.

Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge

Set in one hundred and fifty acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to the resident giraffes, waterbucks, and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys. It is also a night stop for the hippos when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on the expansive lawns.

With Sopa’s traditional and conscientious care for the environment, all the buildings have been carefully positioned on the property no trees were cut. As a result of this, the lodge had to come up with a radically innovative and artistic design for the main public area building which now snakes its way between the trees with long and graceful curves. For this reason, the two swimming pools with a children’s section and a pool complex with its bar, snack kitchen, pizzeria, health spa, tennis court, two conference halls with their four differently sized meeting areas, and stables are so widely set apart.

Other facilities in the lodge include sundowners, a gift shop, board games, outdoor dining, free Wi-Fi, sauna, and wheelchair accessible rooms. Rooms include bedroom kettles, hairdryers, telephones, and a television. The lodge also has adjoining rooms, babysitting services, laundry, and turndown service. Other activities you may want to indulge in at the lodge are fishing, horseriding, birdwatching, and nature walks.

Mara Maisha Camp

The rolling plains around the camp teem with wildebeest, gazelles, and zebras during the migration months, and the camp is situated right in the center of their migration path. By virtue of its location and layout, the camp offers an unparalleled plethora of activities and experiences from luxury tented living to bird-watching, mini golf, sport fishing, and a unique insight into the Maasai culture at the adjoining Maasai village.

Location

This safari begins with a visit to the famous Sweetwaters Game Reserve a 90,000-acre private ranch with magnificent views across the plains to the snow capped peaks of Mount Kenya. This game sanctuary is the closest reserve to Nairobi (3.5 hours drive) home to all the big five game, and has the highest ratio of game-to-area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Its popular waterhole is floodlit by night, providing excellent and secluded rarely seen game viewing.

Game drives at Sweetwaters are indeed a pleasure. Game viewing may also take the form of game walks accompanied by a resident naturalist, game rides on horseback, camel riding, night game drives and “bush” lunches or dinners.

The Chimpanzee Sanctuary is most informative and entertaining and should be visited while in the game reserve. The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and is the only place in Kenya where this highly endangered and remarkably intelligent species can be seen.

The Lake Naivasha and its surrounds are rich in natural bounty, and the fertile soils and water supply have made this one of Kenya’s prime agricultural regions. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophloea, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with bird life, and Naivasha is known as a world class birding destination. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. giraffes wander among the acacia, buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the lake's large hippo populations sleep the day out in the shallows.

The Masai Mara Game Reserve – Kenya’s most famous and finest game sanctuary. In the months of June and July each year, the wildebeests in their troops arrive at the Kenyan border, ready to cross the steep banks of the broad and fast flowing Mara River. This crossing is truly the greatest episode of the entire migration. Hot on their heels are the predators of the savannah –lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The banks of the Mara River provide one of the best vantage points to witness the drama.

The Mara also offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will most likely see the Big Five - lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard, and elephant.
