Itinerary
Day 1:Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi
Departure Zanzibar / Dar es salaam at 07:00 hours from airport with the driver / guide to Mikumi by 4x4.
Arrival in the Park after 4/5 hours depending on the traffic on the highway, lunch at Morongoro Town then drive into Mikumi National Park. You will do game drive till late in the evening dinner and overnight at the lodge inside the park.

Day 2 - Full day game drive to Mikumi

Mikumi National Park
The Mikumi National Park near Morogoro, Tanzania, was established in 1964. It covers an area of 3,230 square kilometers and is the fourth largest in the country. The park is crossed by Tanzania's A-7 highway. The Mikumi is bordered to the south by the Selous Game Reserve, the two areas forming a unique ecosystem. Two other natural areas bordering the national park are the Udzungwa Mountains and the Uluguru Mountains.
The landscape of Mikumi is often compared to that of the Serengeti. The road that crosses the park divides it into two areas with partially distinct environments. The area northwest is characterized by the alluvial plain of the river basin Mkata. The vegetation of this area consists of a savannah dotted with acacia, baobab, tamarinds, and some rare palm
