An abundance of wildlife will keep you distracted while learning more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon. In the case of the Kadishi Tufa Fall, the formation that has been produced strikingly resembles a face which is crying profusely and is thus sometimes known as "the weeping face of nature."
Experience the bush from a different angle. Take the time to focus on the smaller but interesting aspects of the bush that you do not get to experience on the game viewer! The walk is more or less two hours long.
You can avail a tour at the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Center which focuses on the conservation of rare, vulnerable, or endangered animals. Cheetah conservation is one of their core disciplines.
Experience a safari from the air and see all the beauty that nature holds from sky! A 20 to 30-minute flight will take you over big five areas with the opportunity to see plenty of game. A one-hour flight will give you the option to do either the Blyde River Canyon or Olifants River.
Situated in the shadow of the majestic Mariepskop, the unique conservancy is home to many wild animals. Wherever possible, rehabilitated birds and animals are returned to the wild and those that are not so fortunate due to the nature and extent of their injuries are used to educate the many people who visit each year.
The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center at Moholoholo contributes to the conservation of endangered species and the rehabilitation of injured and poisoned wildlife. Moholoholo also facilitates a number of successful breeding programs. Tours run Monday through to Saturday with two tours daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No booking is needed, you can just arrive at the tour time.
The cultural journey starts in the boma theater where guests experience the original show “Limpopo Pathways.” The hour long theater show is designed as an entertainment and educational tool telling the story of the origins, journeys, and lifestyles of the tribes that settled in the Limpopo.
Presented in a natural setting, under the thatch roof open-air boma theater, the show is an exciting venture following the pathways of the tribes from the past to the present. Following the show after approximately 60 minutes, the group is led down to the traditional Shangaan village.
