Lenchada Tourist Camp or similar (2 nights)

Lenchada Tourist Camp is a budget semi-luxury accommodation and eco-friendly safari tented camp in the northwest of the Masai Mara. Located on the Oloolaimutia Hills on the western border of this world-famous reserve, Lenchada Tourist Camp offers the perfect starting point for your safari.

The camp accommodates 21 persons in single, double, and triple occupancy. Each of these options suit different traveler’s needs but the high standards of service are maintained throughout the camp no matter which option you choose.

Friendly receptionists will be available and can deal with any of your inquiries and questions, and can furnish you with all the up to date information on various tour activities in Masai Mara as well as bookings, no matter what activity you are looking at doing - from game drives and balloon safaris to walking, trekking, and cultural visits.

Lenchada Tourist Camp has ensuite bathrooms with hot and cold water, Western toilet, changing rooms, and lockers for valuables. The tent canvas wall front can be opened completely to allow an open view from the sleeping and bathroom areas. All the camp's buildings were built with the surroundings in mind. Everything is eco-friendly, something visitors regularly comment on. They have accommodations to suit every need and requirement: camping, twin rooms, bandas, or dormitories - the choice is yours.

Maybe you want to sleep under a canvas on their campsite or maybe you prefer to stay in one of the beautiful rustic twin rooms, which sleep two and are perfect for clients on a budget. The campsite is fully equipped. They have plenty of powerful steaming hot showers and clean flushing toilets. There is also a great view of the lake wherever you are situated in the camp.

The bandas sleep from one to six persons in comfort, with an ensuite bathroom. They provide bedding, blankets, lamps, and mosquito nets. There is also a private garden equipped with outside garden furniture.

Pitch a tent, as you can't get any closer to nature than sleeping under the stars, listening to the sounds of Africa. Or maybe, opt to stay in one of the dormitories that can sleep up to eight in comfort.

With steaming hot showers, clean toilets, and fresh water on hand, this is what Camp Carnelley’s calls hassle free camping. Their dormitories are very comfortable and basic bedding and sheets are provided. Don’t forget the onsite Lazybones bar and restaurant for breakfast.

Day 1: Majestic Masai Mara

Begin your safari adventure with a scenic drive from Nairobi to the fabled Masai Mara National Reserve. As you arrive at your campsite, nestled within the reserve's boundaries, the spirit of the African wilderness will welcome you.

The afternoon will be yours to dive into the first game drive, seeking out lions, elephants, and perhaps a glimpse of the elusive leopard as the sun begins to dip below the horizon. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lenchada Tourist Camp or somewhere comparable.

Day 2: Exploring Masai Mara

Your second day will be dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of the Masai Mara. With a full day of game drives, you'll have plenty of opportunities to witness the rich tapestry of wildlife that calls this corner of Kenya home. Watch in awe as the drama of nature unfolds, from the thundering hooves of the wildebeest to the stealthy prowl of the cheetah across the endless plains.

Day 3: The avian haven of Lake Nakuru
