AA Lodge Mara

AA Lodge Mara is located at the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve in the South Western part of Kenya. It’s located 4 kilometers from Sekenani main gate and 10 minutes drive from Siana Springs Air strip. It is 255 kilometers from Nairobi, 1-hour flight from Nairobi, and a 4 hour’s drive from Nairobi on the new tarmac road.

The lodge is spread on 30 acres of land, uniquely laid out over the sprawling grounds that include rolling manicured greens, a virtual mini forest of indigenous shrubs and exotic trees, a large swimming pool overlooking the lodge bonfire, the main restaurant and bar. The lodge has 42 classic tents, 36 cottages, a main restaurant, bar and several dining options.

Program

Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara

Pick up from your hotel or airport and commence the drive to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the Rift Valley. You will arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon after you check in, depart for an evening sunset game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve from 4 pm to 6 pm. Return back to the accommodation for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with good time for resting at your lodge.

Day 2: Full day in Masai Mara

Spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the big five. You will have picnic lunches in the reserve as you scale the Mara beauty sited at the banks of Mara River. This day we have a full day game drive where we go all the way to the Mara River sight of the migration.

we don't want to come back to lodge so our guides will have pre- ordered for you picnic Lunch to be served in the prairies as you enjoy the beautiful sightings of the plains.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Thereafter commence the drive back to Nairobi. We will serve you a complimentary light lunch at a traveler's motel. On arrival you will be dropped at your hotel or airport.

NOTE: All game drives are carried our in customized vehicles that have a pop- up roof for easier game viewing and Photography.

Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya, located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. The wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. It's regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife Viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. A visitor can hardly miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Masai Mara is the wonder of the world.

Things to do (optional)

In the evening, on the second day, you have the option to visit the local Maasai village for a Maasai cultural tour for an additional 20 USD. Learn about the Maasai community and interact with the local Maasai people. A balloon safari at a discounted 380 USD per person can be organized early in the morning on this day, as well.
