Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to your hotel for an overnight at Best Western Plus Hotel in Westlands Nairobi (booked for bed and breakfast. Dinner upon request from the hotel menu).
Day 2: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
Early morning breakfast and check out of the hotel. Drive to Lake Naivasha for a quick stop at the lake to enjoy your morning boat ride for bird watching and hippo viewing.
Thereafter you will proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and then drive straight to the park for an evening game drive. It’s a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos which forms part of the Big Five. There is also a possibility of seeing the pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 hours.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Lake Nakuru Lodge is a beautiful eco-lodge situated inside Lake Nakuru National Park, looking over a huge watering hole from your deck viewing zebra, giraffe, etc.
Day 3: Depart Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Early check out after breakfast. Game drive to the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you take an evening game safari drive at 4 p.m. Stay at AA Lodges for dinner and overnight.
Days 4 and 5: Full day at Maasai Mara, the site of the wildebeest migration
At 7:30 a.m., start a full-day game drive all the way to the Mara River, the site of the great wildebeest migration. Eat a picnic lunch in the park at 1 p.m. Complete the game drive and return to your accommodation at 4 p.m. In the evening, visit a real Masai village (not a commercial village, actual friends of the guide). Learn upfront about their culture and partake in an optional homemade dinner (20 USD per person).
Drive back to AA Lodges for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Maasai Mara to Serengeti via Isebania Border, flight to Tanzania
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airstrip to catch your flight to Serengeti. Meet your Tanzanian guide for a short drive into the heart of Serengeti National Park to camp Osinion. Dinner and overnight at Osinon Camp.
This is described as a true wilderness retreat. Osinon is the perfect camp for exploring the center of Serengeti. It was voted the best safari park in Africa. This luxury camp gives you a unique chance to view a stunning array of wildlife passing from Southern Serengeti to the Northern corridor. See the big 5 and the world's largest wildebeest migration in the Serengeti. Spend the evening around their fireplace accompanied by a bush dinner to put you in the center of it all.
Dinner and overnight stay at Osinon Camp and Lodges.
Days 7 and 8: 2 Full days at Serengeti National Reserve
Breakfast at 7 a.m. Full-day game drive in Serengeti and picnic lunch at 1 p.m., then back to the camp for dinner. Dinner and overnight at Osinon Camp.
Day 9: Serengeti to Ngorongoro, an animal paradise
Depart Serengeti at 7 a.m. Get a Covid test to enable you to cross back to Kenya. Depart Serengeti with a game drive en route to the Ngorongoro area which extends to the national park. Enjoy a picnic lunch.
Later proceed with the drive and pass through the Olduvai Gorge in northern Tanzania. Often called the cradle of mankind, this area is internationally recognized for Louis and Mary Leakey’s famous discoveries of early humans and magnificent antiquities documenting the evolutionary history of our stone tool-using ancestors over the last two million years. Research at Olduvai began almost a century ago, producing an unparalleled wealth of archaeological and paleontological data for the study of some key phases of early human evolution museum viewing
Proceed to a hotel for check-in. Dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge.
Day 10: Full day in Ngorongoro Crater
In the morning, drive down to Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. On the crater’s floor is Africa in microcosm: grassland, swampland, lakes, forest, mountains, and unparalleled wildlife, including the rare black rhino, hippo, wildebeest, zebra, eland, gazelle, and black-maned lion. A visit to Tanzania is not complete without experiencing the beauty and animal life of the Ngorongoro Crater. This is will be totally amazing animal interaction.
Later leave for Karatu where you will have dinner and an overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.
Day 11: Karatu to Lake Manyara to Arusha
Early morning half-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park that begins at 7 a.m. Depart for Manyara and later drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay at Venus Premier hotel.
Day 12: Arusha to Amboseli through Namanga Border
Breakfast at the hotel. Then later depart for Amboseli National park via the Namanga border. A driver from the Kenyan side will pick you up and proceed to Amboseli for an afternoon game drive and lunch. Dinner and overnight at AA lodge.
Day 13: Full-day Amboseli National Park
Early morning game drive, later return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, a full day will be spent in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and Hippo with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Later return to the camp / lodge. Dinner and overnight at AA lodge.
Day 14: Amboseli to Nairobi
Breakfast at the lodge and thereafter proceed, check out, and drive back to Nairobi drop-off at the airport for your departure flights.
