Craig, Ben and Janine Williams operate Pepper Bush Adventures from Scottsdale in north east Tasmania delivering Tasmanian tours for international and Australian visitors. Discover Tasmania’s wilderness, wildlife, and the tastes of Tasmania on unique and exclusive wildlife experience. Travel remote country roads, walk secluded beaches of Mount William National Park in the Bay of Fires region, and visit ancient forests and spectacular alpine mountain peaks of Ben Lomond National Park. Enjoy the ambience of campfire dining in northeast Tasmania on two very different nocturnal wildlife tours.

You will stay for two nights at Beulah Heritage accommodation in Scottsdale. It is a clean and comfortable boutique heritage accommodation with extraordinary hosts and a great country cooked breakfast.


Day 1 - Pre-tour transfer from Launceston (Scottsdale)

You will be picked up and have Canopy Capers as your first activity (13:00-15:00 seasonal departures). Enjoy the quest to view for the elusive platypus and capture the timeless ambience of Tasmania’s bush. Listen to the afternoon sounds of the bush chorus from nearby birds, enjoy a campfire dinner, and a nocturnal walk in the forest to see and hear the brushtail and ringtail possums, pademelon, Bennett's wallabies, and bettongs go about their nightly business.

Day 2 - Ben Lomond and Quoll Patrol (Ben Lomond National Park)

A day in the highland areas of north east Tasmania, you will depart from Scottsdale for Ben Lomond National Park, a spectacular mountain of dolerite columns and scree slopes. Impressive views, and a magnificent array of alpine vegetation are on offer. After a picnic lunch we travel to Evercreech Forest Reserve and visit the "White Knights", the world’s tallest white gum trees before travelling to the Tyne Valley for a campfire dinner with the forester kangaroos. Relax by the camp fire with a glass of Tasmanian wine or beer and see the field of dreams comes alive with eastern quolls, brush-tail possums, and Tasmanian pademelons visiting the camp fire while Bennett’s wallaby and wombats graze close-by. (Evercreech visit is seasonal)

Day 3 - Mount William National Park in the Bay of Fires region (Mount William National Park)

A day in the Tasmanian wilderness to pursue the monotreme double in platypus and echidna, you will travel to the far north east corner of Tasmania to the Mount William National Park. Take a stroll on the stunning white beaches in the Bay of Fires region, lunch with the Bennett's wallabies, and see the resident wildlife in the area. The Forester kangaroo and the wombat are just a couple of the inhabitants who share this coastal National Park with over one hundred species of birdlife. Tour finishes in Launceston around 17:00.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Launceston Airport (LST). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request. Seasonal departures from Launceston is from 13:00-15:00. Pepper Bush Adventures will pick-up from the Launceston Airport or any Launceston accommodation facility and transfer to Scottsdale.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 14% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
