Program

Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara

You will be picked up from the hotel and brought to the office for orientation at 08:00. Later, depart for the Maasai Mara National Reserve via the view-point of the Great Rift Valley and Narok Town for lunch. Upon arrival, you will proceed for a game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver / guide. Dinner and overnight will be at a lodge.

Day 2: Maasai Mara (full day)

After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day of game drive, viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Have a break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 3: Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru

Have an early morning game drive. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch en-route, with scenic views of Mount Longmont and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in the evening and be dropped off at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Amboseli

After breakfast, proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific bird life including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Later, you will drive to Amboseli National Park. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 5: Amboseli (full day)

You will have a full day game drive in this park which contains swamp grounds, bathing elephants, and hippos. A variety of plains game, antelopes, birds, and Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak can be seen if weather conditions permit. Picnic lunches will be catered for and then return to overnight at the lodge and enjoy dinner.

Day 6: Amboseli - Nairobi / Mombasa

You will have an early morning game viewing and then return to the lodge for a full breakfast. Later, you will drive back to Nairobi to proceed to Mombasa for beach holiday by road. Papio Africa Holidays will drop you off at Emali to board a bus to Mombasa, or come back to Nairobi, drop at the hotel or at the airport to a connect your flight to your next destination. This is the end of the safari.
