Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
Pick up from your hotel or at the airport to the office for finalization and briefing, then depart for Maasai Mara. You will have two stopovers on the way, one at the viewpoint of the Great Rift and the second one at Narok town for your lunch, and then proceed to Masai Mara. Reaching in the evening, check in at your camp, go for two hours of sunset game drive, and then come back to the camp for dinner and overnight with your bed, beddings, hot shower, electricity, mosquito nets, and dinner.
Day 2: Maasai Mara full day
After breakfast, you will proceed to the park for a full-day game drive, viewing within the reserve. The reserve is the best park in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network, which allows close viewing and photography. The landscape here is scenic grassland with rolling grassland. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, where the migration of wildbeast takes place, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 3: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru
Early morning game drive. After the break, depart the Mara region for Lake Nakuru and have lunch en route with scenic views of Mt. Longonot and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in the evening and check in at your self-contained budget hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, proceed on a game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific birds and flamingoes. It contains a sanctuary for the conservation of white and black rhinos. Species like the cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Later, drive to Lake Naivasha. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli
After breakfast, visit the Hell's Gate National Park. The lake has attractions like Hobley’s and Olkaria, two extinct volcanoes the obsidian forms from the cool molten lava. Within Hells Gate is the Hells Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs which contains two volcanic peaks, Fisher's tower, and the central tower, which is a smaller gorge that extends to the south and of which a path extends into hot springs. Depart to Amboseli arriving in the evening, dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 6: Amboseli full day
You will have a full day game drive at Amboseli National Park, which contains swamp grounds, bathing elephants, and hippos. A variety of plain game, antelopes, birds, and Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak can be seen if weather condition permits. Break for picnic lunch and later drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight with bed, beddings, hot shower, electricity, mosquito nets, and dinner.
Day 7: Amboseli - Nairobi or Mombasa
You will have an early morning game viewing and then return to the camp for breakfast. Later, drive back to Nairobi and drop you at the hotel or the airport to connect flight to your next destination, or to drop you at Emali to board a bus or train and proceed to Mombasa for beach holidays by road.
About the safari
You will experience game drives throughout the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha. You will also visit the Hell's Gate National Park, where you will see the Fisher's Tower and take a walk in the Gorge later. Amboseli National Park, where you will view herds of elephants and Mount Kilimanjaro among other scenic features.
