Outdoor African Tour Safaris invites you to get a taste of the magic of Botswana. If you are attracted by Botswana’s scenic splendor, its wildlife, and cultural heritage, you will have the firsthand expertise to arrange your once-in-a-lifetime African expedition.
Your first night will be spent at a lodge on twin sharing basis. The rest of your nights will be spent at a private designated campsite with bush ablutions. Bow tents with mattresses will be provided but sleeping bags and small pillow will be on your own.
You will arrive at Kasane Airport (BBK) and be met by your guide. You will then be transferred to a lodge and treat yourself to some meals at your own expense. After that, you will stay overnight in Kasane on twin sharing basis.
On this day as the sun rises, you will break your camp and have a long game drive to Savuti. As you continue your search for wildlife, you will transverse the drier region of Savuti. After that, you will stay at a campsite.
You will then head to Chobe River where your game drives meander along the banks of the river, followed by the call of the majestic African fish eagle. The Chobe River floodplain is an amazing game viewing area where the water attracts large herds' of buffalo, elephants, zebras, and other herbivores. Due to the proliferation of prey, predators are likely to be close at hand. The sun will set in this region as spectacular and allowing amazing photogenic opportunities. While at the Chobe, you will participate in a cruise on the Chobe River. This experience will allow you to get a closer look at aquatic animals and birds not easily approached on safari.
Today will be your last day in your adventure. You will break camp to head to Kasane where you will end your tour at 09:00.
This safari will take you from Kasane to Savuti and Chobe National Park. Savuti covers an area of approximately 1930 square miles in size (5000 square kilometers) in the south western side of Chobe and has become well known for the drying up of Savuti Channel in 1981 and more so far, its incredible viewing opportunities. The pans and pumped water holes then become the major attractions during the summer months. Most of the animals move to the fertile Savuti marsh.
Botswana’s national and only airline provides international flights to Johannesburg and Harare. It provides domestic flights to Francistown, Maun, and Kasane. Air Namibia flies to Maun everyday of the week except Tuesdays and Thursdays. Most major international airlines from Asia, USA and Europe fly into Johannesburg, South Africa.
There are scheduled buses services across borders between South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Zambia.
