This safari package includes 13 nights' accommodation. You will be accommodated at a hotel in Gaborone for 1 night as well as 12 nights' camping accommodation in spacious bow tents with camp bed, full bedding, and en-suite bush ablutions.
On arrival at O. R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg to Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GBE) in Gaborone, you will be picked up by Outdoor African Tour Safaris’ representative at the airport. You will be transferred to a hotel in Gaborone. You can have your dinner at the hotel at your own expense.
Today, you will have a city tour of Gaborone in the early morning around 07:00 before leaving the city for your next safari destination. At around 09:00 you will be heading to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary.
Khama Rhino Sanctuary is a community-based wildlife project, established in 1992 to assist in saving the vanishing rhinoceros. It covers 8,585 hectares of Kalahari Sandveld. In this area expect to see the white and black rhino as well as over 30 other animal species and more than species of birds.
In the afternoon, set up the camp and enjoy a game drive search of rhino, zebra, and wildebeest. You will enjoy the evening around the campfire.
Central Kalahari Game Reserve is one of the largest game reserves in the world, covering 52,800 square kilometers. This reserve is characterized by vast open plains, saltpans, and ancient riverbed. During the summer months when the rain falls, the Kalahari grasslands turn green and lush and the good grazing grass attracts large herds of zebra, wildebeest, springbok, and gemsbok.
Your next stop is Maun, the gateway to the world-famous Okavango Delta. Here, you will restock the provisions and enjoy drinks and delicious restaurant meals (at your own expense). In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to take a spectacular aircraft flight over the delta (optional). This flight will give you an entirely different perspective on the watery wonderland.
You will venture by your safari vehicle into the vast wilderness of the Okavango Delta where you will meet the local community guides. Your poler will expertly guide your mokoro (dugout canoe) through the winding channels of the delta. The camp is set up on an island and set out on foot for morning and evening game walks with local guides. During the day, time is spent relaxing in the camp. Bird life in the Okavango Delta during summer months is prolific with all of the summer migrants returning to this rich oasis.
You will return to the polling station and continue with your safari vehicle to the vast fossil lake beds which form the unique and beautiful Nxai Pan National Park. These pans surrounded by baobab and umbrella thorn trees which are covered with sort nutritious grasses. The grasses attract wildlife.
You will spend the next 2 days on game drives, sporting big game of zebra, gemsbok, and springbok. The seven giant trees that form the famous Baines Baobab are a highlight of the visit.
Camping on the flat Makgadikgadi Pans is an experience you will never forget! After watching the awe-inspiring sunset over the pans, your evening will be spent to enjoy the wide open vista and enormous of stars.
Chobe National Park is famous for its herds of elephants. You will set camp in Chobe National Park and enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with late afternoon boat cruise.
Your safari ends at 09:00 after breakfast.

This safari will take you to visit Gaborone, Khama Rhino Sanctuary, Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Maun, Okavango Delta, Nxai Pan National Park, Makgadikgadi Pan, and Chobe National Park in Botswana.
You can have an optional scenic flight over Okavango Delta. The cost for 1 hour scenic flight is 200 USD per person, minimum 3 guests to guarantee the flight.
Botswana’s national and only airline provides international flights to Johannesburg and Harare. It provides domestic flights to Francistown, Maun and Kasane. Air Namibia flies to Maun everyday of the week except Tuesdays and Thursdays. Most major international airlines from Asia, USA and Europe fly into Johannesburg, South Africa.
There are scheduled buses services across borders between South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Zambia.
