You will stay in a hotel inear Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve in a twin sharing basis during this safari.



Day 1: Kathmandu to Biratnagar

After arrival, Osho World Adventure's expert guide will escort you to the lodge and give brief introduction about the package. You will go for bird watching in the marshland outside the reserve to see the strokes, ibises, snipes, waterfowl, birds of prey, and more. In the evening, you will have cultural program.

Day 2: Koshi Toppu wildlife tour

After breakfast in the morning, you will set for a full day excursion on boat and four wheels drive with packed lunch to see waders, waterfowl, birds of prey, marsh crocodile, otters, wild water buffalo, and Gangetic dolphins including a visit to the Pink Tower.

Day 3: Koshi Toppu wildlife tour

Today you will set for inside reserve to see wildlife such as swamp partridge, black necked stork, buntings, bulbuls, and more. In the afternoon, you can either continue bird watching or watch wild water buffaloes, blue bulls, and hog deers.

Day 4: Departure

Early in the morning, you can either enjoy bird watching around the camp area or have a leisure walk. After breakfast, you will depart for Kathmandu

Nepal is indeed a paradise for birds with over 800 species recorded representing 10% of the world’s population in just a tiny fraction of the earth’s land mass.

Just to list a few: eight species of stork, six species of pheasant, 17 species of cuckoo, 3 species of crow, cormorant, egret, black ibis, eagle, falcon, duck, chukar, partridge, sarus crane, lapwing pigeon, bengal green pigeon, dove, parakeet, koel cuckoo, owl, vulture, peafowl, red jungle fowl, swallow, black drong, blue jay, wood pecker, black-headed shrike, common myna, red-vented bulbul, paradise flycatcher, brahminy duck, house sparrow, red mania, and hawk.

The opportunity to see these and other birds will make your trip a memorable and enjoyable one. These trips also provide panoramic mountain views, glimpses of wild animals, and exposure to the local people’s culture and traditions.


Koshi Tappu Wildlife reserve is yet another destination in Nepal for jungle activities which occupies an area of 175 square kilometers. The reserve was established in 1976 and is home to endangered species of animals such as wild buffalo also known as “Arna”, Gharial crocodile, and gigantic dolphins.

There are 280 species of birds including 20 species of duck, two species ibises, many egrets, herons, and storks. The fabulous time for a Koshi Tappu jungle safari is between October and March where you can able to many migratory bird species along with local birds.

Nepal is a country of exceptional biodiversity and a beautiful natural environment. The tropical jungles of the Terai preserve some of the best wildlife habitats in the subcontinent. Nepal has 16 national parks, wildlife reserves, and conservation areas, occupying 16 percent of its total geographical area.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
