Mvuu Camp

Mvuu Camp is located in the heart of Liwonde National Park, one of Malawi’s premier wildlife destinations. The camp is an excellent option for guests who want to enjoy the ultimate bush experience in a comfortable and relaxed setting.

The Camp has a spectacular vantage on the banks of the Shire River in Liwonde National Park. Liwonde is a 580 sq. km reserve that harbors over 400 species of birds, a dense population of hippos, crocodiles, large numbers of elephants, and a variety of antelope species. There are also regular sightings of lion, cheetah, and serval as well as occasional sightings of black rhino.

The Makokola Retreat

The Makokola Retreat has brilliant green gardens that reveal spacious beach villas and rooms perched along the shores of Southern Lake Malawi. They provide gracious service in an unmatched experience in Malawi. This showpiece property captures the essence of African design, culture, and tradition. While staying with them, you feel every moment with a sense of natural connection in the wonderful retreat.

Mumbo Island

Mumbo Island is one of the smallest Islands on Lake Malawi, situated 10 kilometers offshore of Cape Maclear. This deserted tropical Island has never been populated and still retains a thick covering of Miombo Woodland, Ancient Fig, and Baobab Trees. Crystal-clear, clean, and calm waters surround this Island making it an ideal spot for kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving. Wildlife found on Mumbo Island includes Spotted-Necked Otters and Cape Clawless Otters. Mumbo Island was first developed in 2001 with beautiful and comfortable accommodation

Small tented rooms are tucked away on rocks and the beach is situated at the head of a deep serene bay. Rooms are completely built with timber, thatch, and canvas and have well-shaded balconies, hammocks, hot bucket showers as well as ‘eco-loos’.
