Exciting Amazon River Wildlife Tour Ecuador and Peru

An adventure trip crossing the jungle of the Amazons discovering the Amazon unique experiences that can happen in your life next to the jungle, rivers, and lakes of black waters that captivate your desire to learn more about life in nature. On this trip, you will enjoy trekking in the jungle, canoeing, birdwatching, monkey, medicinal plants, indigenous and Amazonian people, and you will delight in the pink and gray dolphins. For the nights, you will have bonfires for unique experiences in the wide beaches of the Napo river where there are wonderful sunsets and sunrises.

During the trip, you will stay in Nuevo Rocafuerte on the first night, in Yasuni National Park on the second and third nights, in Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve on the fourth and fifth nights, on a beach near Pantoja on the sixth night, and in Santa Clotilde for the seventh night.


Departures from Coca will be at 07:00 any day of the week. It is recommended to be there a day before.

Day 1: Coca - Nuevo Rocafuerte (Ecuador)

Take your breakfast at 06:00 and you will be picked up at your hotel to proceed to the dock at the Napo River in Puerto Francisco de Orellana to get on a public vote to head to Nuevo Rocafuerte border with Peru. You will travel for approximately eight hours (300 kilometers) with a 20-minute lunch stop in Pañacocha after four hours of travel. Then, you will continue the trip enjoying every moment of the trip watching indigenous people rowing canoes as their typical transports, children swimming on the beaches, and beautiful and captivating islands from the Amazon.

You will arrive at Nuevo Rocafuerte at 17:00. Your guide will be waiting to welcome you and help you with the lodging, as well as inform you about the necessary indications of the sector and the jungle. Afterward, you will take your dinner and deal with legal border procedures.

Day 2: Nuevo Rocafuerte - Yasuni National Park (Ecuador)

Take your breakfast at 08:00 and depart to the Yasuni National Park by the river of the same name arriving in about two hours to make the camp inside the lagoons of Yasuni. After lunch, you will go on a two-hour hike in the jungle. Afterward, you will return to the camp to swim and freshen up in the river and then have a typical dinner in the area.

Day 3: Yasuni National Park (Ecuador)

Take your breakfast at 07:00 and then a walk through the jungle to see animals and medicinal plants. Return for lunch and take a rest for the afternoon. Afterward, take your dinner and later go out to see the alligators in the Yasuni river and in the lagoon.

Day 4: Yasuni National Park - Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve (Ecuador)

At 06:00, go out to watch birds and pink dolphins for two hours and return for breakfast. Then, you will go to the Napo river and go to the Aguarico river, the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, and enter the Kocaya river for a sighting of pink dolphins and other animals. Afterward, you will settle in the cabin of the community of Martinique where you can enjoy the Amazon, have dinner, and rest.

Day 5: Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve (Ecuador)

Take your breakfast and hike through the jungle for three hours to see the flora and fauna. Return to the cabin for lunch. In the afternoon, walk through the lagoons of Kokaya and return to the cabin. At night, you will go out to look at alligators.

Day 6: Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve (Ecuador) - Pantoja (Peru)

Take your breakfast and walk to see more of the jungle through the lagoons and return for lunch. Depart to the border of Peru and arrived in Pantoja. You will deal with legal procedures to enter the country and sleep on a beach near Pantoja.

Day 7: Pantoja - Santa Clotilde (Peru)

Take your breakfast at 05:00 and embark on the canoe to shift to Santa Clotilde. The journey will take 10 hours and you will spend the night in this small town, which includes dinner.

Day 8: Santa Clotilde - Iquitos (Peru)

Take your breakfast at 06:00 and embark on fast transports to reach Mazan to cross by motorcar to the Amazon river in ten minutes. You will be getting on another quick vote to get to Iquitos at approximately 13:00. The guide will help you with the hotels.


This safari will take you to Coca, Nuevo Rocafuerte, Yasuni National Park, and Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve in Ecuador as well as to Pantoja, Santa Clotilde, and Iquitos in Peru.
