This will be a fantastic tour and safari! Drive to the best and most popular destinations and game drives in the world! See the wildlife and take photos while you are on your way to the Lake Manyara National Park, the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the Tarangire National Park. Join your hosts in Tanzania and visit spots that boast history dating back to the dawn of time, admire buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, baboons, flamingos, geese, and many more wild animals.
In this safari, you will stay in various accommodations at Arusha. You will spend the first night at a campsite at the Lake Manyara National Park, the second and third night, you will stay at the Seronera Camp, the fourth night, you will stay at the Ngorongoro Simba Campsite, and the fifth night, you will stay at a campsite in the Tarangire National Park. Accommodations at Arusha before and after the safari are included in the price for a total of two nights.
After your safari briefing, you will leave from the hotel in Arusha and drive on Tarmac Road approximately 130 kilometers to the Lake Manyara National Park. The lake occupies a large portion of the park, the forest starts just when you cross the park gate along the base of the Great Rift Valley, and the hot springs are located on the west side of the park.
The park is home to the famous tree climbing lions as well as buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, baboons, flamingos, ostriches, geese, and many more animals. After your picnic lunch, you will take an afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon, you will drive to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti National Park by the way of the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Leaving the highlands behind, you will descend into the heart of wild Africa into the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains rolling in the distance as far as the eye can see.
You will head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. The Seronera River provides a valuable water source to this area of the park and attracts wildlife well represented of most of the Serengeti’s species.
You will arrive in time to enjoy lunch and then head out for an afternoon game drive. You will enjoy dinner and have your overnight stay in the Seronera Camp.
After breakfast, you will enjoy an early morning game drive along the Sogore River circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River. This is a good location for spotting lions, gazelles, topi, ostriches, and the cheetahs.
The Visitor Center, close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites, is well worth a visit after this morning game drive. This nicely designed center offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop where you can purchase information leaflets and maps of the area.
In the afternoon, follow the Kopjes circuit going counterclockwise around the Maasai Kopjes. On this tour, you will have the chance to view more lions and some formidably large cobras. You will have dinner and spend the night at the Seronera Camp.
After breakfast, you will depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will stop at Olduvai Gorge which boasts history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here that the anthropologists, Doctors Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of the Nutcracker Man and Handy Man, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution.
You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and then descend over 600 meters into the crater to view the wildlife for a half-day safari tour. You will enjoy dinner and spend the night at the Ngorongoro Simba Campsite.
After breakfast, you will depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor.
Its natural vegetation consists mainly of acacia woodland, giant African baobab trees, and huge swamp areas. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for the local wildlife during the Tanzania dry season.
The Tarangire National Park is home to three rare species of animals, the greater kudu, the fringed-eared oryx, and the ashy starlings. After a picnic lunch, you will head out for an afternoon game drive. You will have dinner and spend the night at the Tarangire National Park Campsite.
This day, you will enjoy a final game drive before breakfast. Then, you will return to the camp for breakfast and be transferred back to Arusha where you will book a hotel for your overnight stay.
This safari will take place at Arusha, Tanzania. Throughout the safari, you will visit and tour several locations such as Lake Manyara National Park, Great Rift Valley, Serengeti National Park, Seronera River, Sogore River circuit, Maasai Kopjes, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Olduvai Gorge, and Tarangire National Park.
In this safari, you will enjoy three daily delicious meals plus water. For the excursion days, you will have a picnic lunch packed for each location.
Please book your flight to arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Transfer from and to this airport is included. Open Trip Tanzania will pick you up from the airport. Alternatively, you can arrive to Arusha Airport (ARK).
