One Way Tours and Safaris will pick you up at your hotel in Mwanza and drive you towards the Ndabaka Gate to Serengeti National Park about 135 kilometers or a 2-hour drive from Mwanza. It will be a nice drive. You will have the beautiful Speke Bay on your left side most of the way and you will pass through nice small villages such as Kisesa, Nyanguge, and Lamadi on the way to the western gate to the park.
The western Serengeti gate is one of the most attractive entry because once you enter the park, you will start seeing animals from the gate all the way to the central of the Serengeti. When you reach the central area, you will have dinner and overnight stay at Tawir Rest house.
At 07:30, you will have breakfast. After that, you will go for a full day tour in Serengeti plain. You will eat your lunch box in the bush and proceed with a game drive to Maasai Kopjes and Retima hippo pool. Serengeti's wildlife includes leopard, lion, cheetah, jackal, buffalo, hyena, hippo, elephant, topi, impalas, gazelle, and hundred species of birds including eagles. To conclude the day, return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay at Tawir rest house.
After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Before you reach the crater, you can stop at the Maasai Boma Village. There, you will get time to experience their culture, enjoy their dancing, and hear their history. After that, you will proceed up to view the point of the crater for photo taking and information about the crater. Afterward, you will carefully drive down the crater which is 250-square-kilometer wide and 600-meter-deep caldera. The crater itself has over 24.000 large animals including some of Tanzania’s remaining black rhinoceros. Ngorongoro Crater is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. To conclude the day, you will have dinner and overnight stay at Rhino Lodge.
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park which is one of Tanzania’s smallest parks. Lake Manyara (the lake covers one-third of the park) is famous for its millions of flamingos in the wet season as well as the park also host a population of the rare tree-climbing lions. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Arusha.
