During this safari, you will be accommodated at Lake Manyara Twiga Campsite, Serengeti Seronera Campsite, and Simba Campsite in a basic tent with mattresses and pillow.
Pick up from Arusha Hotel at 8:30 a.m. and drive on tarmac road 130 kilometers with lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park (330 square kilometers or 127 square miles) on the base of the Great Rift Valley, for the Afternoon game drives. Lake Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife.
More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day.
Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants
and storks.The park is home to lion, hippo, elephant, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboon, blue and velvet monkey, warthog, and many more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded.
This small park contains also five distinct vegetation zones. Thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals. The Manyara National park is also famous for its large flocks of flamingos. Breakfast will be served at 6:00 a.m. Pick up from the camp will be at 7:00 a.m. and get ready for a drive to the Great Serengeti National Park (14,763 square kilometers or 5,700 square miles) with your packed picnic lunch, followed by game drives en-route via Ngorongoro Crater Rim. Serengeti National Park is a home to lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelles, crocodiles, and more. Lot of birds includes the Eurasia migrants.
The Serengeti National Park is famous for the "Great Migration", over one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand plus zebras each year follow the rains. In October and November, they travel from the mountains of the north, southwards to the plains seeking lush pastures. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite.
Wake up at 6:00 a.m. for early morning game drives in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania oldest and most popular national park, and also a
world heritage site and recently proclaimed a seventh world wide wonder the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration. When some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson gazelles join the wildebeest trek for fresh grazing.
At around 9:00 a.m., drive back to the camp for breakfast. Then, check out and drive with lunch and game viewing en route to Ngorongoro Crater Rim. There will be an optional visit to Olduvai. It was the first place where traces of an early stone tool culture were discovered, and gave the name to the Oldowan, nowadays considered as the earliest human technology. Olduvai is also one of the first sites in Africa where the earliest acheulean was first discovered, and where the traditional view of the Moldovan herculean transition was established. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.
Wake up early morning for breakfast then at 7:30 a.m. drive to Ngorongoro Crater where you will descend into the Crater floor (19.2 kilometers of diameter, 610-meter deep, 304 square kilometers) for game drives. All the Big Five (rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant) live in this wonderful caldera, others are zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena, and many more. Birds includes flamingoes on the Soda Lake, geese, storks, vultures, and more. Break for lunch at Ngoitoktok spring picnic sites, it will be an unforgettable experience.
Ngorongoro Crater is often called "Africa's Eden", the "Eighth Natural Wonder of the World". A massive extinct volcano, its towering tree
lined walls drop thousands of feet to a "Noah's Ark" of animals on the verdant floor below. This breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both
predator and prey to live among grasslands, fresh springs, and the large soda lake.
Large herds of zebra, buffalo, antelope, and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Nowhere else can such a diversity in wildlife be experienced in such a short period of time. After lunch, proceed with fame viewing while ascending the crater and drive to your hotel in Arusha where you will be arrived 4 p.m. and dropped at your hotel.
