You will be staying in various accommodation across Rwanda and Uganda including:

Day 1: Nyungwe National Park

In the morning, you will be transferred to the Southern Province in Nyungwe forest where you shall experience a canopy walkway for 40 minutes in the forest. A thrilling adventure awaits you on the Nyungwe Canopy Walk.

Via Huye, you will have the opportunity of exploring the National Museum in Huye and King's palace at Nyanza. After the visit, you will continue the drive to Nyungwe National Park to have a nature walk in Gisakura tea plantations and spend your night and dinner at Peace Guesthouse.

Day 2: Nyungwe National Park - Musanze Volcano National Park

You will have a very early breakfast and later drive to the park headquarters to be briefed about the “dos and don’ts” while with the chimps before entering the forest. You will encounter the chimps and many other primates like the black and white monkeys and various bird species then from there after lunch, you will drive to Musanze Volcano National Park for dinner and overnight at Best View Lodge.

Day 3: Musanze Volcano National Park

Early morning, you will leave Kigali and drive to Musanze at Kinigi reception for briefing about the mountains (Bisoke Volcano Hiking) for another memorable experience with the volcano. This is where you will experience hiking and by the time you reach on top, you will see crater lake on top of the mountain. Later you will drive back to Kigali for flight or overnight in your hotel, Best View Lodge.

Day 4 : Musanze Volcano National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, you will drive to the reception to start trekking golden monkeys in Rwanda. The golden monkeys live in the bamboo vegetation towards the base of the volcanoes and habituation has helped them to overcome their initial shyness to accept their daily visit by researchers and tourists.

They are very active creatures, and jump from tree to tree which is really interesting and a little difficult to photograph! The golden monkey trek is worth going for while you are in Volcanoes National Park. After lunch, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth for overnight and dinner at Pumba Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, you will start the day with an early cup tea/coffee before embarking on a game drive along the Queen’s Mile plus the Kasenyi trail. On this trail, you might see elephants, waterbucks, lions, buffaloes, Uganda kobs plus warthogs in addition to several birds.

You will return for breakfast plus lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will enjoy an about two hours of a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel where you will encounter buffaloes, elephants, hippos, kobs plus warthogs among others. After the boat ride, you will drive to the Pumba Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

In the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred from Queen Elizabeth National to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via ishasha to see some animals such as buffalos, elephants, climbing tree lion, and some ruminants and then later transfer to Bwindi for overnight and dinner at Ruhija Gorilla Friends Camp.

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Bunyonyi Lake

After a relaxed breakfast in the morning. you will enter the rain tropical forest of Bwindi for the gorilla safari. The activity starts at 8 a.m. and you will follow the ranger guides in the forest as you search for the habituated family of mountain gorillas, which was allocated according to the permits.

Spend one hour observing the primates and their behaviors, while taking photographs. Ensure you take the packed lunch and water with you in the bag and for this, you might need the support of available porters. Then from there, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight at Crater Bay Cottage.

Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi - Lake Mburo

Get breakfast and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi to enjoy canoeing, with a beautiful view of mountains both sides. Then after lunch, you will drive along the trails of the Lake Mburo National Park. Expect to discover the region of the Mburo park comprises one of the most thrilling faunas of any parks with over unique different species of mammals including elephants, antelopes, and buffaloes. You will have dinner and overnight stay at Eagle Nest.

Day 9: Lake Mburo

Have an early breakfast in the hotel and start a game drive en-route. This game drive will reward you with a variety of antelope. You will also enjoy the unique evening 2-hour lunch cruise in Lake Mburo. The trip passes through the highest concentration and animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. Later, you will have overnight and dinner at Eagle Nest.

Day 10: Lake Mburo - Entebbe International Airport (EBB)

Early in the morning, you will have breakfast. You will then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport (EBB).

Nyungwe National Park

This Africa’s largest rainforest is situated in the south west of Rwanda. Despite the canopy walkway, it is home to numerous primate and bird species.

Volcanoes National Park

The national park lies in the northwestern of Rwanda. It is home to 10 groups of the endangered mountain gorillas, of which 7 groups are habituated.


All meals are included during the safari. You will also enjoy the unique evening 2-hour lunch on a cruise in Lake Mburo.
