Join Nyasi Adventure for an African safari experience in Tanzania. During the safari, you will stay either at Vamos Hotel or Tanswiss Lodge in Mikumi on the first and second day, and stay at Udzungwa Falls Lodge on the remaining days.
Tanswiss lodge is located in Mikumi. It offers comfortable double rooms and cozy bungalows. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, fan, satellite television, mosquito nets, and a balcony. The private bathroom is fitted with a shower. There is also a swimming pool, bar, restaurant, garden, and laundry service.
Udzungwa Falls Lodge is graciously located on the slopes of Udzungwa Mountains National Park. It is set up as an idyllic and romantic weekend escape and a truly magnificent family vacation getaway. With 40 en-suite rooms, the lodge has been carefully constructed to cause minimal impact on the surrounding Udzungwa Forest, which acts as a catchment area for water that is used domestically in the village and for irrigation in the sugarcane plantations.
The hotel is located within the vicinity of Mikumi National Park, which has an area of 3,230 square kilometers. Vamos Hotel comprises of 16 rooms classic furnishings that evoke a feeling of comfort and convenience. The rooms feature complimentary telephone, air conditioning and fan, mosquito nets, working desk and executive chair, fresh air ventilation and wide sunlight windows, multi-channel remote controlled television, and electric power sockets for laptop and cell phones.
You will be picked up at the hotel in Dar es Salaam early morning around 6:30 a.m., and then drive 5 - 6 hours to Mikumi. Upon arrival, get a hot lunch in the restaurant inside the park. After lunch, go for an afternoon game drive until sunset.
During the game drive at Mikumi National Park, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo, and elephants. You may also be able to spot lions, leopards, and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland, and antelope.
You will be back in the late evening for dinner, then check-in, and spend the night at Vamos Hotel or Camp Bastian. Lunch and dinner are included.
After an early breakfast, go for a full-day game drive across the Mikumi National Park with packed lunch boxes to see various animals of the park until sunset. The Mkata river floodplain is an attractive point of the park, where you can easily spot a large number of animals, including elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, impala, and a rich number of bird species.
Back in the late evening, get a hot dinner when you are ready, and spend the night at Vamos Hotel or Camp Bastian. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
After breakfast, depart to Ifakara, which takes around four-hour drive, with packed lunch boxes on your way to Kilombero River for the canoeing safari. During the canoeing safari, you will also have a chance of spotting spectacular river bird species wandering around the beautiful scenery of Kilombero, and know how the Wandamba tribe (the people of the Kilombero Valley) live and fish traditionally.
Drive back to Udzungwa in the late evening for your hot dinner and spend the night at the beautiful and amazing Udzungwa Falls Lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
After an early breakfast, go hiking through the beautiful forests and landscape scenery of Udzungwa with packed lunch boxes, along with a professional guide. On the way, you will learn about various trees used for traditional healing, learn about bird life, and then you will be heading towards the top for a great and an amazing view of the famous Sanje Waterfalls.
On top of the waterfall, you can see a great view of the enormous Kilombero Sugarcane Valley, one of Tanzania’s biggest sugarcane plantations. Back in the evening, get a hot dinner, and spend the overnight at Udzungwa Falls Lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
After breakfast, depart to Dar es Salaam. Enjoy your lunch break on the way, and you will arrive at Dar es Salaam in the early evening. Nyasi Adventure will take you back to the hotel or catch your flight back home. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Ifakara is a small rural town in the Kilombero District. You will go to Kilombero River for the canoeing safari where you will have a chance of spotting spectacular river bird species.
Mikumi National Park is the third largest national park after Serengeti, covering an area of about 3,230 square kilometers. It abuts the northern border of Africa’s biggest game reserve, Selous Game Reserve. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata floodplain, the popular counter pierce of Mikumi, draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti plains.
The Mkata River floodplain supports large population of wildlife, including buffalo, wild dog, eland, elephant, giraffe, hartebeest, zebra, leopard, antelope, greater kudu, and many others.
More than 400 bird species have been recorded with such colorful common residents, such as the lilac-breasted roller, yellow-throated longalow, and bateleur eagle. The Mikumi National Park is accessible all year round due to its fine roads, which never get affected by the rains dropping during the wet season.
Udzungwa Mountains National Park is an exclusive hiking and walking safari park. It is the magnet for hikers which offer an excellent network of forest trails, including the popular Sanje Waterfalls. It is the largest and most bio diverse of a chain of dozen large forest-swathed mountains.
Udzungwa Mountains National Park has the second largest biodiversity of a national park in Africa. Ornithologists are attracted to Udzungwa due to its avian wealth, embracing more than 400 species, including the lovely and readily-located green-headed oriole, the iringa red-colobus, and Sanje crested mangabey. The park is also accessible throughout the year and it is even the best during the wet season whereby its Sanje Waterfalls becomes amazing and attractive to view.
You have included in the price three daily meals, starting with lunch on arrival day, and finishing with lunch on departure day. You will also be offered a bottle of water during the safari.
