During this safari trip, you will be staying at Twiga Lodge and Seronera Campsite.

Twiga Lodge (2 nights)

Twiga Lodge and Campsite is located at Mto wa Mbu, one-and-a-half-hour drive from Arusha town. Its extensive facilities and beautiful setting have made Twiga a very popular stopover along the route to many Northern Circuit tourist attractions. Walkers and cyclists might be pleased to note that the excellent site and provides fresh air and good views of the wonderful surroundings. Seronera Campsite (2 nights)

The public campsites which are collectively called Seronera Campsite are located in the Central Serengeti area known as the Seronera. Seronera Campsite is one of the most famed campsites in Tanzania for animal encounters. Animals will pass through the campsite at night on their nocturnal wanderings. This campsite is guarded. Tents have mats, and bathrooms are outside the tent.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and meet with professional driver-guide and have a short briefing for safari then drive to Arusha Town for one hour and stay overnight in camp or lodge.

Day 2: Arusha Town to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up and proceed to Tarangire National Park. This park is sixth of the largest national parks in Tanzania which are located in the Manyara Region. This place is characterized by the large herds of elephants and the fascinating tree Baobab tree. It is also called the Tree of Life for the almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it.

This park is especially known for the Tarangire River which flows all year round and the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. Game drives will be done till evening the time you will be driven to Twiga Campsite for dinner and overnight to complete your first day of this amazing Tanzania Budget Camping Safari. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided today.

Day 3: Twiga Camp to Serengeti

After breakfast, drive from Manyara District game drives on the way crossing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area heading to Central Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch. Serengeti National Park is among other incredible wildlife and stunning views is famed for the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundred thousands of zebras, a frenzied bout of territorial conquests and mating happening from July through October. Witness actual survival of the fittest as these animals plunge through crocodile-infested waters. Do game drives in these wonderful plains. Evening drive to Seronera Campsite for dinner and overnight. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided today.

Day 4: Full day Serengeti National Park

Two game drives on this day of your Tanzania Budget Camping Safari. First, early in the morning after having your breakfast you will go for sunrise game drives which will take about one to two hours then back to your camp for breakfast. After breakfast, pick your lunch boxes then go for the second game drives in this beautiful park until sunset. Then, you will have dinner and stay overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite for this third day of this Tanzania Budget Camping Safari. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided today.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater tour

Early in the morning before breakfast, leave Serengeti with lunch boxes and go on game drives on the way with optional to Visit Olduvai George with an additional 35 USD per person heading to Ngorongoro for crater tour. Visiting Olduvai George is recommended because it will give you another different experience as it will be a different kind of tourism which will enable you to see the historical background and proof of the early human being.

Inside of crater, 20,000 different mammals live in the area including about 20 black rhinoceros hence making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see these amazing creatures. The crater floor also has one of the highest carnivore densities in the world. Game drives will be done until evening. Then, you will have dinner and stay overnight at Twiga Campsite. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided today.

Day 6: Manyara National Park to Arusha

After having breakfast, you will be driven to Manyara National Park which will be the last national park you will visit in the Northern circuit to complete your Tanzania budget camping safari. This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions. The large part of this wonderful park is covered by the alkaline Manyara Lake which is seasonally visited by the large flamingos and many other water birds.

Along the shores of the lake, you will spot many animals including the elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, banded mongoose, and the gazelles. After animals, birds, trees watching, drive back to Arusha for your own arrangements. This will be the end of the amazing six days five nights Tanzania budget camping safari.


This safari trip will take place in Tarangire National Park, Central Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park.
