Accommodation

You will stay one night at Pretoriuskop Camp within the Kruger Park. You will be accommodated in thatched huts with en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning.

Pretoriuskop Rest Camp

Pretoriuskop is the oldest rest camp in Kruger National Park. The design and layout of the camp, as well as the style of the accommodation, easily give away the age of the camp. But although it has a rich and interesting history, Pretoriuskop has been brought up to date and it remains a very popular camp for overnight guests.

One of the most memorable styles of accommodation that you’ll find in the camp are the huts. They are beautifully laid out in circles, giving you a sense of community within the camp. There are 30 huts available and they sleep between two to six people. These huts have no bathrooms or kitchens. Instead, you will need to rely on the communal facilities.

It is always important to remember where you are. You are in the Kruger and it is wild even if the camp is seemingly calm. You need to keep your eyes open at all times for some of the other creatures which often sneak into the camp unseen. When walking anywhere, be on the lookout for snakes, spiders, and scorpions. They’ll generally stay well out of your way but it’s best to always be aware of what is around you.

Program

After experiencing a magnificent African sunset, you head for your comfortable camp accommodations. There’s time to enjoy drinks around a campfire and a sumptuous dinner, before alighting on the highlight of your 2 day bushveld safari – the night safari! Spotlights shine out into the night revealing the sparkling eyes of visitors in the night. Wrapped in warm blankets you marvel at the bushveld nightlife, hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive leopard! Between sightings, you sit for a quiet moment to look up to a star-studded sky, in awe of its vastness and serenity.

Come and join 2 incredible days and 1 truly unforgettable night with the thrill of a night safari, on this excellent African bushveld safari.
