Join Nepal Wildlife Resort and explore Nepal with its culture and natural beauty. Go on a village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. Canoe ride along the Rapti River which is an excellent opportunity for bird watching and for seeing the two rare species of crocodiles; the marsh mugger and the fish eating gharial. Lastly, jungle walk to enjoy an elephant bathing view and visit the Government Elephant Breeding Centre to marvel at these majestic creatures.

Accommodation

During this tour, you will be accommodated at various two or three-star hotels or bed and breakfasts in Kathmandu, Lumbini, and Pokhara.

Program

Day 1: Arrival

  • Arrival and stay in Kathmandu 2 or 3-star hotel on bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Drive to Chitwan

  • On arrival you will be offered refreshment and be given a briefing on the lodge and its facilities. After being given your programs for the day, your room will then be allocated to you.
  • 13:00 Lunch
  • 15:00 Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus.
  • Visit to the National Park Visitor’s center where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife and sun set view from the bank of Rapti River.
  • 19:00 Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers or slide show presentation on almost everything under the Chitwan.
  • 20:00 Dinner.

Day 3 and 4: Safari in Chitwan

  • 06:00 Wake up call
  • 06:30 Breakfast
  • 07:00 Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for bird watching and for seeing the two rare species of crocodiles; the marsh mugger and the fish eating gharial. Jungle walk on the way back one can enjoy the elephant bathing view.
  • 13:00 Lunch
  • 15:00 Safari for an excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger (if you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.
  • 20:00 Dinner

Day 4: Government Elephant Breeding Centre

  • 06:00 Wake up call
  • 06:30 Breakfast
  • 07:00 Visit to the Government Elephant Breeding Centre
  • Drive to Bardia
  • Arrival and overnight stay with lunch and dinner

Day 5: Tiger tracking

  • Whole day tiger tracking on foot with pack lunch. Overnight stay. (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Day 6: Jeep safari

  • Whole day jeep drive. During safari, there is more chance to see any kind of wild animal with dolphin. Overnight stay. (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Day 7: Lumbini

  • Drive to Lumbini, stay on bed and breakfast.

Day 8: Pokhara

  • Drive to Pokhara, stay on bed and breakfast.

Day 9: Pokhara

  • Pokhara stays on bed and breakfast. Two-star hotel.

Day 10: Pokhara

  • Pokhara sightseeing. Stay on bed and breakfast.

Day 11: Kathmandu

  • Drive to Kathmandu.

Day 12: Kathmandu

  • Free day in Kathmandu, stay on bed and breakfast.

Notes

  • There is a whole day walking in the Jungle so children should be above 12 in age.
  • The guide can be arranged in a different language but it will charge extra 3000 NPR per person.

Starting off and ending at Kathmandu, this tour will take you through Chitwan, Chitwan National Park, Bardia, Lumbini, and Pokhara.
