Adventurous Motorbike Tour and Safari in South Africa and Namibia

Let's ride! You start in the capital city of Namibia, Windhoek, travel north to a private game reserve with plenty of wild animals. You will enjoy a sundowner game drive before you chat around a barbecue fire. You then head west where you will visit a Bushmen living museum before you reach the cool weather of the skeleton coast. You will stay at self-catering lodgings selected by Namibia Adventure Travel. Riders must share a room but if you prefer not to share, it can be arranged on request.

Program

During this tour, you will do some adventure excursions on the coast before you travel south to some of the highest sand dunes in the world. You will visit the famous Kolmanskop and the fisherman's town Luderitz before you go south to the Fish River Canyon. You sleep over at a natural hot spring before you cross the border into South Africa. You then travel for two days to Cape Town where your tour ends.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek (Namibia)

Today is the arrival day. You'll have a barbecue and a tour briefing.

Day 2: Windhoek to the world's largest private game reserve (Namibia)

You will ride from Windhoek to the world's largest private game reserve then have a sundowner game drive. You will enjoy open-fire Namibian traditional food for today.

Day 3: Game reserve to Henties Bay (Namibia)

You will ride to Henties Bay at the coast. You will visit a Bushman living museum and Spitzkoppe.

Day 4: Henties Bay to Swakopmund (Namibia)

Today you will ride to Swakopmund. Visit the Zalia Shipwreck and enjoy your fresh seafood dinner at a beach restaurant.

Day 5: Rest day (Namibia)

Today is a rest day. Excursions can be booked (dune quad bike tours and the living desert tour) and you can do some shopping if you prefer.

Day 6: Excursion day (Namibia)

You will do a Walvis Bay boat cruise and a 4x4 dune excursion.

Day 7: Swakopmund to Sesriem (Namibia)

You will ride to Sesriem, traveling on gravel roads through the desert via two mountain passes. You will visit an oasis in the desert and eat apple pie at Solitaire.

Day 8: Sesriem to Sossusvlei (Namibia)

It's a rest day with a guided vehicle tour to Sossusvlei. You will see some of the world's highest sand dunes and visit Deadvlei / Dooie Vlei and climb the "big daddy" if you can.

Day 9: Sossusvlei to Helmeringhauzen (Namibia)

You will ride further south to Helmeringhauzen and see the changing desert landscape with awesome photo opportunities.

Day 10: Helmeringhauzen to Luderitz (Namibia)

You will ride to the fishing mecca of Namibia, Luderitz, and visit Kolmanskop. You might find some of the desert wild horses on your way.

Day 11: Luderitz to Ai-Ais (Namibia)

You will ride to the natural hot springs of Ai-Ais and visit viewpoints on the Fish River Canyon.

Day 12: Ai-Ais to Springbok (South Africa)

You will ride to Springbok and cross the Namibia / South Africa border over the Orange River.

Day 13: Springbok to St. Helena Bay (South Africa)

You will ride to St Helena Bay and along the western coast of South Africa. Experience the beauty and the people of Namaqualand!

Day 14: St. Helena Bay to Cape Town (South Africa)

You will ride to Cape Town and enjoy the scenic route over mountain passes in the Cape wine-lands.

Day 15: Departure day

You will explore Cape Town and return to your country from Cape Town International Airport (CPT). You can stay longer if you wish.

This tour will take you from Windhoek in Namibia to Cape Town in South Africa. You will visit several interesting places including Spitzkoppe, Henties Bay, Solitaire, Swakopmund, Deadvlei, The Zalia Shipwreck, Walvis Bay, Helmeringhausen, Kolmanskop, Fish River Canyon, and many more.

Breakfast will be supplied. At some places, you will have self-catering dinners. Restaurants are available at the lodges.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 20% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
