Program

Day 1: Windhoek

On arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH), you are met by a tour guide from Nali Safaris and you will be transferred to your hotel in Windhoek with the remainder of your afternoon at leisure.

Day 2: Windhoek - Etosha National Park

Depart from Windhoek and head north via Okahandja, for a visit to a local market, to shop for wood carvings and curios. You will arrive at the lodge late afternoon.

Day 3: Etosha National Park

Today you will spend a full day in this world-class game park, visiting a number of waterholes to observe the wildlife. Etosha, translated, means ‘the place of dry water’ and here you will get your first view of the magnificent pan. Morning and afternoon game drive are included.

Day 4: Etosha National Park

You will spend another day in Etosha’s unique desert landscape searching out for amongst other animals. It’s a large population of elephants and marveling at its prolific bird life.

Day 5: Etosha National Park - Kavango Area

In northern Namibia lies a beautiful, untouched area known as the Kavango region. It is here, right on the banks of the Okavango River. Popa Falls Resort is your

gateway to the north-eastern corner of Namibia, with its perennial rivers, magnificent indigenous woodlands, riverine forests, floodplains, and reed lined channels.

It is the ideal base to explore the Mahango Game Park, with over 450 species of birds recorded. A wide variety of wildlife species, including elephant, hippo, buffalo, crocodile, Red Lechwe, reedbuck, roan and sable antelope, and if you're lucky, even the elusive Sitatunga antelope can be observed.

Day 6: Etosha National Park - Caprivi Area

You rise early this morning for a day of travel to Mahango Game Park, Popa Falls is your gateway to the north, eastern corner of Namibia, with its perennial rivers, magnificent indigenous woodlands, riverine forests, floodplains and reed lined channels. It is the ideal base from which to explore the Mahango Game Park, with over 450 species of birds recorded.

A wide variety of wildlife species, including elephant, hippo, buffalo, crocodile, Red Lechwe, reedbuck, roan and sable antelope, and if you're lucky, even the elusive Sitatunga antelope can be observed.

Day 7: Etosha National Park - Caprivi Area

You will rise early this morning for a day of travel to Caprivi Area and depart to the park which is 6,100 square kilometers and extends for about 180 kilometers from the Kavango River in the west to the Kwando River in the east. Access is easy as the park is located 200 kilometers east of Rundu or approximately 100 kilometers west of Katima Mulilo. The deciduous woodlands are dominated by trees such as wild seringa, copalwood, and Zambezi teak.

Day 8: Bwabwata Game Park - Caprivi Area

While the park is the sanctuary to 35 large and numerous small game species, visitors are not likely to see many of these animals, as unfortunately vehicles are restricted to the road between Kavango and Eastern Caprivi. Animals likely to be seen though are elephant, roan, and kudu. Buffalo occur towards the west and as many as 339 bird species have been recorded in West Caprivi.

Day 9: Nkasa Lupala National Park - Caprivi Area

This is the largest wetland area with conservation status in Namibia and is a haven for wetland species. When the flood waters from the Kwando River are high, Nkasa Lupala becomes like a mini Okavango Delta.

Day 10: Nkasa Lupala National Park

There are close to 1000 buffalo in Nkasa Lupala National Park, the largest concentration in the country. It is also an important corridor for elephants moving from Botswana to Angola and Zambia and is considered a core breeding area for wildlife that can disperse into neighboring conservancies. Morning game drive in the park included.

Day 11: Chobe National Park - Namibia

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart for Chobe National Park in Namibia. Sprawled along the banks of the back waters, the lodge flawlessly combines the best of this unique inland flood plain, the peace, and serenity of gliding through waterways lined with lush aquatic plants and the excitement of searching for a big game through endless miles of green grassland.

Day 12: Chobe National Park (Namibia)

Along with many species of big game, Chobe National Park boasts the largest concentration of elephant in Africa, and your game drives and boat cruises offer visitors the opportunity to witness this amazing spectacle, game viewing boat cruise included.

Day 13: Transfer to Katima Mulilo Regional Airport

After a leisurely breakfast, you will depart on your drive to the town of Caprivi Strip in Katima Mulilo at Katima Mulilo Airport (MPA) for your afternoon flight back to Windhoek at Eros Airport (ERS). You will be transferred to the hotel for overnight.

Day 14: Transfer to Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH)

The morning is at leisure before you are transferred to Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) for your onward travels.

Included excursions
