Kayova River Lodge

Kayova River Lodge is perfectly positioned for guests to explore the natural beauty of Northern Namibia. Activities include fishing, birding, boating trips and cruises, wildlife viewing, photography tours, and visits to the local community.

Chobe Safari Lodge

Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River and shares a border with Chobe National Park. Chobe Safari Lodge, therefore, offers an excellent getaway location to Chobe, Victoria Falls, or Caprivi.

Program

Day 1: Windhoek

On arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH), you will be met by a tour guide from Nali Safaris and you will be transferred to your hotel in Windhoek with the remainder of your afternoon at leisure.

Day 2: Windhoek - Etosha National Park

You will depart Windhoek and head north via Okahandja for a visit to a local market to shop for wood carvings and curios. You will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Etosha National Park

Today, you will spend a full day in this world-class game park, visiting a number of water holes to observe the wildlife. Etosha means ‘the place of dry water’ and here, you will get your first view of the magnificent pan.

Day 4: Etosha National Park - Tsumeb

You will spend another day in Etosha’s unique desert landscape searching out for amongst other animals its large population of elephants and marveling at its prolific bird life.

Day 5: Etosha National Park - Kavango Area

In northern Namibia lies a beautiful, untouched area known as the Kavango Region. It is here, right on the banks of the Okavango River, that you will find Kayova River Lodge. Affectionately known by the locals as 'shiwangundu' (pearl) of the Okavango and situated between the towns of Rundu and Divundu.

Day 6: Etosha National Park - Caprivi Area

You will rise early this morning for a day of travel to Caprivi Area. You will depart to the park which is 6,100 square kilometers and extends for about 180 kilometers from the Kavango River in the west to the Kwando River in the east. The access is easy as the park is located 200 kilometers east of Rundu or approximately 100 kilometers west of Katima Mulilo. The deciduous woodlands are dominated by trees such as wild seringa, copalwood, and Zambezi teak.

Day 7: Bwabwata Game Park - Caprivi Area

While the park is a sanctuary for 35 large and numerous small game species, visitors are not likely to see many of these animals, as unfortunately vehicles are restricted to the road between Kavango and Eastern Caprivi. Animals are likely to be seen though are elephants, roans, and kudus. Buffalos occur towards the west and as many as 339 bird species have been recorded in West Caprivi.

Day 8: Nkasa Lupala National Park - Caprivi Area

This is the largest wetland area with conservation status in Namibia and is a haven for wetland species. When the flood waters from the Kwando River are high, Nkasa Lupala becomes like a mini Okavango Delta.

Day 9: Nkasa Lupala National Park

There are close to 1000 buffalos in Nkasa Lupala National Park, the largest concentration in the country. It is also an important corridor for elephants moving from Botswana to Angola and Zambia and is considered as a core breeding area for wildlife that can disperse into neighboring conservancies.

Day 10: Nkasa Lupala National Park - Chobe National Park (Botswana)

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart for Kasane Town of Botswana through the town of Nata. The aim is to arrive in the afternoon for check in to your accommodation and activities. Join the marvelous game viewing in the boat and amazing sunset on the Chobe River.

Day 11: Kasane (Chobe National Park) - Victoria Falls Town (Zimbabwe)

Today, you will have a morning wake-up call for the early morning game drive on land in Chobe National Park. Right on your doorstep is the meeting of four African countries: Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Zambia.

After an early morning breakfast, you will leave Botswana’s Chobe National Park heading to Zimbabwe for the mighty Victoria Falls where you will arrive in the afternoon. You will have plenty of time to check in for amazing activities for the next day.

The attraction of Gorges Lodge lies with its stunning views and proximity to the legendary Victoria Falls and its rainforest which is rich in bird life, butterflies, and wild flowers as well as several tame bushbucks, baboons, and vervet monkeys. It is built on the edge of Batoka Gorge just outside of the town.

Day 12: Victoria Falls

This is a free day for you to explore the area or to take part in optional activities. It’s a wonderful opportunity to relax a bit after your trip. For some of you, this will be your final night and will be a fantastic place to enjoy your last evening with your group or family adventure trip.

Day 13: Victoria Falls - Johannesburg (South Africa)

Today after breakfast, you will be dropped off at Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA) for your flight to Johannesburg, South Africa for your onward travels.

You will enjoy a Victoria Falls excursion on the 11th until the last day of this safari.
