Here, you will board a river cruiser and spend two hours looking for hippopotamus and crocodiles. There are also around 500 different bird species in the area. Fish eagles, kingfishers, and other water birds are often seen.

After a good lunch (own expense), you will drive to the entrance of the game reserve. After formalities, your first game drive will start. Your overnight camp is about an hour drive through the park. Depending on what you see on the way, it may take a little longer.

After checking in, you will relax for a while before going out on an afternoon game drive. This is a great opportunity to see elephants, lions, giraffe, and numerous antelope species. In the evening, you will have an optional open safari vehicle drive for 330 ZAR per person (own account).

Day 2

This day will probably have an early start. The night before, your guide will discuss options of what to do for the day. You may go out when the gate opens for a three-hour game drive before returning to the camp for a scrumptious buffet breakfast.

The earlier you start, the better, as cats and hyenas are more active early morning. It’s also a great time to see rhinoceros marking their territory.

There will also be optional extras like more drives (own account). You can also do a full day game drive and explore the south side of the park. A packed breakfast will be taken along to enjoy at a picnic site. The big bonus on the south side is the larger number of cats. Lions and cheetah are regularly seen in the south.
