Set off on a once-in-a-lifetime journey into the lush hills of Uganda to encounter chimpanzees and mountain gorillas in the wild. Observe chimpanzees and track gorillas in the forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will also embark on an amazing game drive and wildlife cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park. After all the exciting activities, You will stay in stunning lodges with spectacular views.
During this 10 days safari, you will be accommodated in various accommodations including Marie's Royal Hotel in Kampala, Murchison River Lodge, Kibale Forest Camp, Twin Lakes Safari Lodge, and Broadbill Forest Camp.
This safari tour involves an active expedition with moderate to strenuous hikes. Participants must be at least 15 years old and should be physically fit. While tracking primates, guests will trek through the thick jungle at elevations ranging up to 10,000 feet, for as many as eight hours, depending on the location of the primates. Treks can be arduous; and the terrain can be steep, uneven, wet, and muddy. This trip is not suitable for those who suffer from a cardiac, respiratory, or circulatory disorder or a disability that limits mobility.
You'll arrive in Entebbe and transfer to the hotel. The next day, you'll visit the chimpanzee sanctuary on Ngamba Island, a habitat for rescued and orphaned chimpanzees. Later, you'll explore the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. Your accommodation will be at Marie's Royal Hotel, Kampala on day one and at Murchison River Lodge in day three. Today, you'll drive from Entebbe to Kibale National Park and check in to your lodge, set on a crater lake. You'll meet your experienced guide and staff and search for chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus, red-tailed, and blue monkeys, as well as the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. After that, explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Your accommodation will be at Murchison River Lodge on day three and at Kibale Forest Camp in day four. (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
You will spend the second morning tracking chimpanzees. After that, you'll continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and go on a safari to look for elephants, lions, and Ugandan kobs before an afternoon wildlife cruise. Your accommodation will be at Kibale Forest Camp on day five and at Twin Lakes Safari Lodge in day six. (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Today you'll travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The next morning, you'll head into the park’s forests, home to roughly half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. You'll sit among these gentle giants, observing one of the planet’s most endangered creatures up close. Your accommodation will be at Twin Lakes Safari Lodge on day seven and at Broadbill Forest Camp in day eight. (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Today, you will drive to Kampala, via Igongo Cultural Center for an exclusive cultural tour and lunch. Your accommodation will be at Broadbill Forest Camp in day nine.
This safari tour will take you to several places in Uganda, including Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and Igongo Cultural Center.
