Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to a hotel

A representative and driver from Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expeditions office will meet and greet you at the airport, escort you to your hotel, and help you check into your hotel. They will arrange a meeting with you at the hotel to brief you about your daily activities, etc. In the evening, you will meet for a traditional welcome dinner and enjoy the rich cuisine of Nepal. Your overnight stay is at Hotel Yak & Yeti.

Day 2: Full-day art and cultural tour of Kathmandu

After a late breakfast, you will visit the main religious sites in and around Kathmandu. First, you will visit the Buddhist and Hindu temple complex of Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. Afterward, you can explore the most important Hindu sanctuary in Nepal, the temple complex and cremation sites of Pashupatinath. You will continue the tour to Patan city, which is famous for its fine arts. You will be guided along this religious journey to interesting places around Patan like Patan Durbar Square, Mahaboudha temple, Kumbheshwor temple, Krishna temple, Golden Temple, etc. This is an easy, relaxing day with a comfortable ride and a local guide. You will discover a totally different perspective of Kathmandu and Patan.

Day 3: Drive to Chitwan National Park (160 kilometers / 5 hours)

In the morning, after a healthy buffet breakfast at your luxury hotel, you will drive to the Chitwan National Park. On the way, you will pass countless small villages and get a good insight into the country life of Nepal. A private vehicle with an experienced driver makes the journey pleasant. Chitwan National Park is the last undisturbed vestiges of the Gangetic Plains, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. You will reach Chitwan National Park in the afternoon.

After a warm welcome from your local tour guide and briefing at the lodge, a brief refreshment, and instruction on the program, you will start a late-afternoon tour of a typical Tharu village and learn more about the life of the Tharu people. Once there, you will be accommodated in an excellent lodge right at the national park border. Let the day fade away and enjoy the flair and ambiance of your accommodation. Day 4: Adventure in Chitwan National Park (UNESCO)

Today, you will spend a full day in this jungle paradise. There is enough time to experience the diverse flora and fauna and relax in your comfortable accommodation. There are also numerous activities and excursions. Together with an experienced nature guide, you will go on a safari through the subtropical jungle landscape, and with a bit of luck, you will see rhinos, monkeys, Bengal foxes, Sambar deer, and cranes, which are swimming in ponds and rivers, dense shrubs, and low grasslands.

A game drive by canoe on the Rapti River is also exciting, where you can discover swamp crocodiles, gavials, turtles, water snakes, or even Ganges dolphins up close. For those who prefer a leisurely pace, you can leisurely stroll through small, original villages along farmed rice terraces in traditional oxcarts. Vultures, eagles, and herons float in the air and complete this idyllic scenery. In the evening, a stick-dancing cultural program awaits you in a nearby village of the Tharu minority.

Day 5: Drive to Pokhara, visit the lakeside, and boating

After a hearty breakfast, you will board the comfortable private vehicle in the morning and proceed towards Pokhara, which is 100 kilometers away from Chitwan, for approximately five hours. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will check into a luxury hotel, refresh, and get familiar with your surroundings. You can also do some boating on the tranquil Fewa Lake. You will then have a relaxing afternoon around the lakeside, where you can simply chill out with some cold beers. Your overnight stay is at the Pokhara Grande Hotel or Shangri La Village Resort.

Day 6: Adventure tour in the lake city of Pokhara, visit Sarangkot, and hike to peace stupa and tour

Today, you will have an early morning drive to Sarangkot hill (1,500 meters). You will get up early and drive to Sarangkot to see sunrise views over the Himalayas. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Sarangkot, from where you can admire the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas. You will return by car to have breakfast and start your journey in the Pokhara Valley by day hike from lakeside to world peace stupa. After the hike, you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and visit popular places like "Davi's Falls", the cave of Gupteshwor, and the International Mountain Museum. Furthermore, you also can visit the Gurkha Museum and tour the Bat's Cave and Seti River Georg. Your overnight stay is at Pokhara Grande or Shangri-La Village Resort.

Day 7: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu, visit Bhaktapur, and drive to Nagarkot

After a healthy buffet breakfast at your luxury hotel in Pokhara, you will go on a short drive to the airport and fly back to Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, your tour guide and driver will pick you up from there and drive to Nagarkot. On your drive to Nagarkot, you will stop in Bhaktapur where you will witness unique culture and finest display of craftsmanship.

Bhaktapur is the only place in Nepal that has remained untouched by Western culture. Lion Gate, Golden Gate, art gallery, the statue of King Bhupatindra, Nyatapola Temple, and 55-windowed Malla Palaces are the living prides of Bhaktapur and you will tour around all these places. You will spend about three to four hours in Bhaktapur. Late afternoon, you will drive to Nagarkot. You will spend your night at one of the best resort or hotel in Nagarkot.

Day 8: Drive to the airport from Nagarkot

Today, you will enjoy the sunrise with panoramic views of the Himalayas. After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu and drive to the airport. The Kathmandu Valley is located in the foothills of the Himalayas and is composed of seven different “Monument Zones”. These zones include urban centers with palaces, temples, and the oldest known Buddhist monument thought to be built in the third century B.C.
