The main entertainment area overlooks the swimming pool and Jacuzzi. It is an open plan and has a lounge with a LED TV, DSTV, and DVD player, a beautiful bar area with pool table and various board games, and an outside patio area that seats up to ten people. They have covered parking for eight vehicles. Location

Morokolo Safari Lodge is situated on the northern slopes of the Pilanesberg Mountain Range, within the Black Rhino Game Reserve. Recently incorporated into the Pilanesberg National Park, the Black Rhino Game Reserve boasts one of the richest diversities of African fauna and flora.

Buffaloes regularly roam the area as they take shelter in remote locations not accessible to other visitors of Pilanesberg National Park. Characterized by a beautiful forest of Tamboti trees and regular sightings of the bad tempered black rhino, the Black Rhino Reserve is home to the big five, as well as cheetahs and wild dogs. Antelope species include sable, tsetsebe, eland, gemsbok, and springbok. With a species list of over 354, the Black Rhino Reserve is also a true birders paradise.

Golf

Sun City can lay claim to having two of the best golf courses in Africa. Both courses were designed by well-known Gary Player and offer challenging courses in extremely scenic surroundings. The Lost City Golf Course is a unique experience and offers spectacular views across the bushveld.

Also to be noted is the use of bunkers and extensive water features - and at the thirteenth hole 38 crocodiles await. The par 72 course at the Gary Player Country Club is home to the annual Nedbank Golf Challenge and the tree lined course is a challenge to both novices and professionals. The pro-shop, putting green, and health spa are open seven days a week.

Hot air ballooning

Fly in hot air balloons within this unique location with all its scenic beauty and wildlife, only a 35 minutes drive from the lodge.

Quad biking and archery

Only 35 kilometers from the lodge in the Sun City complex, go and search for adventure and wildlife on a four-wheeler, encountering natural obstacles on the trail. Or, try your hand at the ancient sport of archery with modern day equipment.

Valley of Waves at Sun City

Fun, fun, fun for the whole family! The Valley of Waves at Sun City is the most advanced water park in South Africa and provides hours of entertainment beneath the warm South African sun. The Roaring Lagoon is the center of the park, and a regular 1.2 meters wave is generated and crashes on the white sandy beach.

Surrounding the lagoon, a meandering river allows for a wonderful scenic tube-ride and, for adrenaline seekers, there are five exhilarating water-rides to choose from, including the Temple of Courage.

rom Pretoria / Johannesburg:

Head towards Sun City on the R556 and pass by the entrance to Sun City on the right.
Continue for 5.11 kilometers to the four-way stop street and turn right onto the R565 (Swartruggens).
Continue on this road for approximately 27 kilometers through a small village (beware of potholes and road works) until you arrive at the Black Rhino Game Reserve's entrance on the right.
Sign in at the gate and either drive on directly to the lodge.
A standard clearance sedan should be able to reach Morokolo Safari Lodge (No.19 Black Rhino Reserve) without difficulty.
From the Black Rhino Game Reserve's gate, drive for 2,9 kilometers along the road until you meet an intersection; continue straight for 500 meters until you see the lodge on the right.

Driving directions from Pretoria/Johannesburg:

Get onto the N4 toll road to Rustenburg.
Take the R556 off-ramp and travel to Sun City.
Pass Sun City on your right hand side.
Continue for 4 km until you reach a 4 way stop.
Turn right on the R565, Derdepoort Road (Swartruggens) towards Black Rhino Game Reserve. Continue for approximately 29 km through some small villages (beware of speed humps).
Find the thatched entrance and Black Rhino Game Reserve sign on your right hand side. Sign in at the gate and drive directly to the lodge. A standard clearance sedan should be able to reach the lodge. We have 2 entrances to the lodge so please ask at the gate which entrance you should use to reach your suite.

Please book your flight to arrive at O. R. Tambo International Airport (JNB). Transfers from and to this airport are available on request, at an extra cost.

Cancellation Policy

A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
