Program
Driving safari
Mole Boy Travel & Safe Guide Tours' safari vehicles each carry up to nine people including a guide and driver in air-conditioned comfort and bucket seats, each with unobstructed window views. Driving safaris cover terrain throughout the southeastern portions of the park, including open hardpans covered with grass, waterholes, forest, and manmade “hides” where visitors may observe wildlife from outside the vehicles.
Canoe safari
During the canoe safari, you will come to discover the lifeline of the park, Mole River, by canoe. It is an excellent river for first-timers or group trips because of its meandering and gentle flow. A 35-minute drive from Mole National Park, the canoe safari on the Mole River can be one of the most relaxing, healthy, and enjoyable ways to spend an hour with the folks of Mognori. The African sun is an experience in itself.
The tradition of marking the end of a day with a drink endures in any place where you can actually view the sun sinking and there can be no better place in West Africa. You can also do a local dance (cultural performance at the Mognori Village).
Itinerary
Day 1
The first two days of the safari will be spent at a beach resort in Accra. The main agenda is a beach tour after breakfast. The resting time for lunch is at 12:00 and 19:00 is the time for dinner.
Day 2
Take a tour to the Shai hills reserve to experience a hike and to go and visit the zebras and ostriches and back to the beach resort.
Day 3
Enjoy a day tour in a drive to Kakum National Park and arrive there late. Then, take a rest at your hotel and catch up for dinner at 19:00.
Day 4
Today, you will go on a canopy walk at 07:00 and go back to the hotel at 09:00 to catch breakfast. A forest walk will be held after lunch from 12:00 - 15:00. Afterward, you will go back to the hotel to catch dinner at 19:00.
Day 5
On this day, check out to a monkey sanctuary for one-night-one-day activities.
Day 6
Check out Mole National Park with a stopover at Kintampo Waterfalls in the center of Ghana. You can get a late check-in to the hotel in Mole National Park.
Day 7
The next couple of days of the safari will be spent at Mole National Park. On this day, there will be breakfast after a morning walk, which starts at 07:00-09:00, and lunch will be served at 12:00. Afterward, you will drive at 15:30 and go back to the hotel at 17:30 to catch up with dinner.
Day 8
Take your breakfast at 07:00 and enjoy a canoe safari and a tour to a historical mosque at 09:00-11:30. Afterward, you will go back to the hotel to catch up with lunch at 12:00 and enjoy resting time after lunch. Dinner will be served at 19:00.
Day 9
Breakfast before checkout from Mole National Park to Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary. You will have lunch at Wechiau in the Upper East Region. From there, you will proceed to Paga Crocodile Pond. Dinner will be taken at a park in Upper West. Region.
Day 10
Checkout from Paga to Tamale, heading back to Accra.
Day 11
Drop off at Kotoka International Airport (ACC).
