Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa’s fourth largest game park, is situated in a crater in the Bojanala Region of the North West Province. This crater is the product of a volcano that erupted many millions of years ago. There is no doubt that extinct volcano has evolved to become one of the most fascinating landscapes for you to visit. You will be provided two nights accommodation in a three-star lodge, either at the Bakgatla Resort or Manyane Camp.
Day 1: Arrival
You will be picked up in Johannesburg and depart to Pilanesberg National Park. You will enter the park for a morning game drive in a closed and air-conditioned vehicle. Lunch will be on your own account on midday, followed by checking in at the camp. In the afternoon, you will have a safari drive in a 4x4 open safari vehicle. Dinner will be prepared by your guide at Bakgatla or Manyane Camp.
Day 2: Pilanesberg National Park
Early in the morning, you will have a game drive in an open safari vehicle, and you will return to the lodge for breakfast. In the midday, you will have lunch (on your own account), followed by plenty of time for relaxation. In the afternoon, you will have a safari drive in a closed safari vehicle safari. Dinner will be prepared by your guide at Bakgatla or Manyane Camp.
Day 3: Departure
You will have an early morning safari drive in an open vehicle and return to the camp for a nutritious breakfast. You will depart to the Sun City Resort for some leisure time and followed by lunch on your own account. Thereafter, you will be dropped off and depart to Johannesburg.
Included in this safari is an excursion to the Sun City Resort.

By the Genesis Project, the majority of South Africa’s wildlife is now found in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The park covers an area of 55,000 hectares. More than 7,000 animals live here in a free and unhindered environment. Pilanesberg is home to all of the Big Five (elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo, and lion), and it is guaranteed that you will be able to tick off most on your list of game sightings.
Other animals that you may encounter are zebra, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, hippo, crocodile, jackal, wildcat, various antelopes, as well as over 300 bird species. Pilanesberg offers over 200 kilometers of roads for guided or self-drive game viewing.
