Great value for money safari - See the Big 5
Swalle and Yohanne (I am most likely spelling their names wrong) were amazing guides/hosts. Amongst seeing the big 5, Swalle managed to find Cheetah’s, rhinos and Leopard, which we were very keen to see. He gave us plenty of information about the animals and local culture, we even learnt some Swahili. The food prepared by Yohanne was amazing - in particular, the chicken on the last night was some of the nicest chicken I have ever tasted. We had an amazing time during our 5 day safari and would absolutely recommend Meru Slopes. Thanks again to our guides for being amazing

The 7 Day "Budget" safari with emphasis on Budget!
The facilitator "Geoffrey" was very kind and helpful when we were in Arusha.
The Serengeti, Tarangiri and Ngorogoro crater were amazing locations to visit with a diverse amount of wildlife and close up experiences!
Our driver from the Airport and back again, Frank, was really an awesome guy and was willing to accommodate our every need as far as possible.

We booked the Budget Safari! Thanks to Merlo slope Godfrey for all the organizing. All was good. The food was not so good. Bathromms @ Serengeti Nasional park not good at all. The rest of our Safari was excellent. Thank you so much!

Great experience
Great trip. The guide named Swalé, knew everything about animals and I did his best to reach animal’s territories. Thanks to his dedication we managed to see lions, Buffalo, elephants, zebra, rhino and giraffe!

Great experience
Beautiful places and landscapes, lots of animals pretty closed to us, our guide Jacob has been great, very committed in his job, always cheerful and available to us, chef Richard always provided good food in abundance, 2 of us were vegetarian and he provided good veggie options.
Very Good value for money spent. Also the transfers from/to Kilimangiaro were very well managed

Excellent experience
Everything from the booking of the safari trip to our departure was excellent.
No problems with communication via email, we were reassured we'd be picked up from the airport on our arrival, and accommodation both after and before safari was included. Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel, in which we stayed, was very conveniently located and comfortable.
They asked if we could start our trip one day earlier than planned, which was fine by us, except that day we needed to book bus tickets from Arusha to Dar for after safari, so Geofrey kindly agreed to do it for us, and for us a great price too!
On the morning before the safari we were picked up by our driver, Daniel, who did an excellent job at making sure the whole trip was an enjoyable experience. He was able to spot animals from hundreds of meters away (spotted two mating rhinos!) and was very knowledgeable. Cracked a few jokes too, so overall, great guy!
As to the accommodation, we were pleasantly surprised that the at the Sunbright Campsite we got a tent with an actual bed! It was very comfortable and clean. The other two nights we spent at Seronera Campsite in Serengeti, where you could hear the hyenas walking around at night (surreal experience!), and Ngorongoro Campsite where we were greeted by several maribu storks - which was both scary and exciting!
I cannot recommend a safari trip enough. Being in Tanzania and not experiencing the nature would be just wrong! And Meru Slopes ensured that our experience was unforgettable.

Spear, our guide, was excellent, very enthusiastic and had an amazing ability to spot the animals.
Benson, the chef, was great. We gave him 2 hours' notice that it was one of the group's birthday and he made a cake, complete with happy birthday iced on the top.

Amazing experience - expectations exceeded
What was advertised as a “budget” experience turned out to be incredibly nice. From the airport pickup, to all of our meals (very abundant and always including fresh fruits and vegetables) to our guide Douglas who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, he managed to spot all the most hidden animals and answer to all of our questions. Him and our cook Khalid always helped us loading our bags in the car and setting up the tents letting us a lot of free time to relax and soak in the beauty of the park.
Also all the campsites advertised as “basic” were were lovely and very well equipped (sometimes even with warm showers!).
We didn’t have a SIM card but WiFi is available at almost every camping and every picnic spot

Stunning experience
The safari with Meru Slopes was far better than we expected. The parks are wonderful and with the guide we spotted a lot of animals and hunting scene too. We were surrounded by nice people and we really enjoyed the experience. Meru Slopes staff was really supportive and organised everything, providing us all the stuff we needed. Highly recommended

Best Safari Adventure so far!
I enjoyed everything about the Safari, it exceeded my expectations. Our guide Eddie was very friendly and gave lots of information, are accommodations were good as well. The price for the Safari was excellent for all that we got. I would definitely do more tours with Meru Slopes.

Unforgettable safari
We only have positive responses regarding our safari trip and our socializing with the guide Benson and chef Action. The layout of the trip and the pace (speed) has been incredibly good, our expectation to see much of Tanzania's wildlife has been met with a great deal, we have seen more animals than we dared to dream about. Which can be attributed to our host couple during the trip. Which can also be certified by our friends and relatives at home in Sweden who followed our journey on social media. From there, the envy shines through.
In addition to great knowledge of wildlife, our host couple have also told a lot about the country of Tanzania and its population which has been very interesting.
Great praise also for the food that was served during the safari, it was also the best during the entire stay in Tanzania. Very good and varied, we could not in our wildest imagination imagine that we would be served a good soup for starters as well as two main dishes every day as well as good pic nic lunches every day.
We can with great pleasure warmly recommend your company and would like to give special thanks to our guide Benson and chef Action whom we would love to see to you with our warm thanks.

AMAZING.
This trip was absolutely incredible! I highly recommend Meru Slopes to anyone interested in going on safari in Tanzania. Our tour guide (Edy) and chef (Mateo) were wonderful and treated us so well. Edy was so amazing and finding animals for us and answering all of our questions. We saw the big 5 and countless more animals (including about 40 lions in one day in the Serengeti). The parks are stunning, the animals are amazing, and this company really thinks of everything to keep you comfortable and ensure that you enjoy the trip. And, it's very reasonably priced. 100% recommend.

Great experience
Despite being advertised as a budget tented safari, I only spent one night in a tent and the rest in private rooms. Food was plentiful and tasty and the water was kept cold. The landscapes and high wildlife numbers were breathtaking. Comfortable land cruiser and excellent driving skills.

The safari rout is well designed, we saw a variety of views and for sure the big five. Our guide Frank is a very nice guy, responsible, and willing to spend extra effort to make sure everybody have the best experience. Our chef is also great, communicating in advance to satisfy our preference. Overall, it was a wonderful trip with great organization!

Amazing 7 days trip
We had an amazing and well organized trip.
Our tourguide Dio, made the best out of it, we saw many many animals very close and he was always concern about us. He took care of us.
The food had different variety and therefore we enjoyed it!
to the company itself, we had a delay from europe and arrived 24h later, they put us on the next group, they changed our flight to zanzibar and even the payment issue, was solved!
we can highly recommend this company.

Great experience!
Benson our guide/driver is the best. He has a lot of experience and knowledge about all the animals and history of this area. He really wanted to make sure we are having a great time. Food was also very delicious, thanks to our chef Action. It was our first safari and we would do it again any time. A big thank you to the whole team! We would highly recommend this safari tour!

Wow!!!
We had three amazing guides and a brilliant chef on our safari. They were able to spot animals high and low, and brought us close up straight away. We had four amazing days watching beautiful animals in their natural habitat. Still mesmerized! WOW, wow, WOW!

Trip of life time
The tour guide Abdul was very passionate, knowledgeable, and on a mission to make sure we saw everything we wanted. He was able to spot rhinos, cheetahs, plenty of lions and we even saw a hunt! On our way out of the Serengeti with only 15 min. left we were stopped when 2 Male lions were hunting buffalo right in the road in front of us, it was like watching a NatGeo special right in front of us. The camping sights, tents and sleeping gear is old and used so prepare yourself however this did not impact the trip. But if you dont like camping this is not the place for you! We had breakfast, a packed lunch and a delicious dinner every day. We were well taken care of and this trip has only inspired us to want to go back as soon as possible.

Almost perfect

Absolut empfehlenswertes Safari-Erlebnis !
Wir sind absolut begeistert. Wir könnten gar nicht sagen, welcher Park uns am besten gefallen hat. Jeder einzelne für sich ist so anders und vielfältig in seiner Schönheit. Die Natur ist atemberaubend. Wir haben unfassbar viele Tiere u.schöne Momente erlebt. Aufgrund der Zeit haben wir außerdem viele Jungtiere (März) gesehen.Trinkenden Giraffen,spielende Elefanten,kämpfende Büffeln, ganze Löwenfamilien,eindrucksvolle Herden vorbeiziehen sehen etc.Die Organisation war top. Alles hat super geklappt. DerAirport-Service war reibungslos.Das Hotel hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen.Wir haben während der gesamten Zeit sogar 2Zimmer bzw.2Zelte bekommen, weil mein Partner schnarcht.Die Mitnahme eines Rucksacks während der Safari ist wegen des Platzes auf dem Fahrzeug sinnvoller als ein Koffer.Ein Fernglas ist ebenfalls für die Beobachtung entfernterer, scheuerer Tierer empfehlenswert.Wir hatten eine sehr nette,junge u.internationale Reisegruppe (6-köpfig).Mandela war ein super Guide u.ein guter u.sicherer Fahrer.Kleine Pannen(z.B. im Fluss stecken geblieben)wurden schnell behoben.Die Guides helfen sich gegenseitig.Mandela hat viel erklärt, aber auch einfach mal die Gäste die Momente genießen lassen.Er hat jederzeit angehalten,den Motor ausgeschaltet, um die Natur in der Stille bewundern u.Fotos machen zu können.Unser Koch, der die Safari begleitete,hat leckeres Essen für die entsprechenden Bedingungen in den Camps, zubereitet.Pro Tag erhält man mindestens eine Flasche Wasser gestellt.

Amazing Safari experience
The guides were very friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable. It was very exciting to find out more about the animals and the country in general. The car, the accommodation, the food and camping all exceeded our expectations. The nature was stunning and we saw the big 5 and much more. Maybe we were lucky, but I think having such an excellent guide also helped! I would recommend this to everyone. I can't overstate how happy we were with the safari!

5 days safari in Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngonrogonro
The accomodation was as expected but the chef made miracles I enjoyed the food a lot! We were lucky to see so many nature scenes with all animals we could have dreamed to see from way closer that I anticipated! The guide was listening to our every requests and very patient!
