Pretoriuskop Rest Camp
Pretoriuskop is the oldest rest camp in Kruger National Park. The design and layout of the camp, as well as the style of the accommodation, easily gives away the age of the camp. But although it has a rich and interesting history, it has been brought up to date and it remains a very popular camp for overnight guests.
One of the most memorable styles of accommodation that you’ll find in the camp are the huts. They are beautifully laid out in circles, giving you a sense of community within the camp. There are 30 huts available and they sleep between two to six people. These huts have no bathrooms or kitchens. Instead, you will need to rely on the communal facilities.
It is always important to remember where you are. You will be in the Kruger and it is wild even if the camp is seemingly calm. You will need to keep your eyes open at all times for some of the other creatures that often sneak into the camp unseen.
When walking anywhere, be on the lookout for snakes, spiders, and scorpions. They’ll generally stay well out of your way but it’s best to always be aware of what is around you.

Program
Day 1
The transfer shuttle will depart from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport bus terminal by 07:00 and transfer you to Hazyview. It will be a five to six-hour drive and a lunch stop will be be made (at your own expense) en route.
From Hazyview, you will be picked up by Mbombela Experience Tours & Safaris' friendly guide who will bring you to their tented camp located / situated in the southwestern side of the Kruger National Park. After you’ve had the chance to stretch your legs and settle in, you will depart for a late afternoon or a sunset game drive.
Dinner will be served at the private camp in Pretoriuskop, under the moonlight and stars, near a campfire. You’ll then spend the rest of the night in your dome tent for a good night's rest.
Day 2
This day, it'll be an early rise as you leave before dawn for an early morning drive, The open game viewing vehicle will give you the advantage of height and the knowledgeable guides will provide the answers to all your wildlife questions. They will seek out the vast variety of animal species that have made Kruger their home as well as the world-famous Big Five!
You will do stop for breakfast (included) and lunch break (own cost) in one of the Kruger's picnic spots to keep those energy levels up. After at least eight to ten hours of game viewing, you leave the Kruger in the late afternoon and be transferred to catch your 18:00 shuttle in Nelspruit and arrive at O.R Tambo by 22:00.
